  1. Long time no see!!! But here I am, it's been really hard… I've had a LOT of "stuck" episodes, but all my fault of course, I was 230 lbs the day of the surgery, know I'm 190 lbs… I was banded on 03/05/11. I've been working out with a personal trainer 3 days a week and doing cardio the other days, but saturday, that's my gift to myself!! heheheheh I'm still trying to figure it out, the chewing is a big problem for me, I fell like all the problem I had so far are all MY fault and not the band, I'm still getting used to the way I'm suppose to eat. But let me tell ya, if I had to go through it every day to fell how I fell know… I'd do it!!! I fell GREAT!!! Tomorrow I have another fill appointment, and hopefully that will help me with some of the issues !!! Hope every one is doing good!!
  2. Felling better about my self, I still have about 70 pounds to go but hey!! I lost 30 in less than 2 months!!!! I think that's great!!! But it's been a struggle!!! I'm still getting used to the hole eat right thing!

  3. wow!!! I think I found my "green" zone, and only with 2 fills..! now all I have to learn is to stop sooner, I had 3 episodes where I had to through up!!! Not good, but not for being stuck, but you know, that one last bait that puts you over the edge!!! Any ways, Today I'm a little stomach sick!!, but I'm happy with my restriction, It's helping me learn to work with the band ….
  4. Girl, I couldn't do anything but hug the bathroom sink and pray that that thing would come back up!!! It was horrible… I'm never getting stuck again!!! I'm so careful now!!! I'm sorry you had to go through that too!!!
  5. OK! Just had my first "stuck" moment!!! It was the most scary, painful thing I ever went through !!! I'm here writing and crying, Had to trow up, It was horrible!… I'm scared to eat know!!! I'm kind in loss of words… Gosh that was BAD!
  6. Marcy, I was soooo frustrated that 5 days after my first fill I called them, cause I felt almost like they had taken fluid out!!! I thought they were just gonna tell me to suck it up! But they were really nice and I think they heard my frustration… Now I can say that the band is really working… you know you hear people saying that they lose a huge amount of weight in a very short time with the band and the reality is that not every one is the same, so it was great that I went back because not only I got the extra fill that I wanted I also got to talk you the nurse (she had lap band 16 months ago and lost 52 pounds so far) and she calmed me down, and really made me understand the process, and thinking positive !!! So it was great for a number of reasons!!! I hope you have the same experience as far as the next fill goes!! Good Luck!
  7. Ok! Now I'm happy… Went to my first fill 4/12 and didn't fell much of a difference so I called them and they said I should go back , cause some of the swelling from surgery was probably down, So yesterday they fill me a little more, and NOW the band is actually working with me!!! I'm REALLY happy, that now I can eat a lot less than before, since yesterday I lost 4 pounds!!! But I'm on liquids so… but I'm very HAPPY!!!!
  8. OK! So …, Got my first fill last friday, since than have been felling pretty empty… It fells almost like they took liquid out instead of put it in! Which is not true, she put it 2cc so I have a total of 4cc now! So I call them and I'm coming back next wednesday and see what's really going on, the nurse said it could be that my stomach was still swollen and now it's not!! I don't know, but it's frustrating!
  9. Sisterwood, I'm with Macy! I had mine removed 2 years ago!!! no problems there!!! By the way… I'm kicking my own but this week, and it fells good to exercise like that!!! I'm still losing, every day!!!
  10. I'm so happy… I'm "unstuck" hehehehehe… Since my first filling which was las friday , so 4 days ago , I lost 6 pounds! So happy, and more driven than ever!
  11. I'm with you!! I lost 16 lb. in the first two weeks, I'm a month and 4 days post op, and haven't lost anything sense my first doc visit!! Don't worry you'll be fine!! I'm almost a month post op, and I had my "slips" and went through that too, If fells horrible , I know, but you learn from it and just move on… As long as you LEARN from it..hehehehehe… You'll be fine. As far as the pain, if it keeps on going you should definitely call your doctor!!! Hope you fell better, and don't let that get you down!

Do liquids at least 2 days before surgery, it will help you get used to it!!! Because after surgery you have no choice, and is not easy!!! Good luck with everything!!!

Just had my 2 week post op app. today, doc said everything looks good and I can go on " mushy" foods, I though was going to be awesome , you know, after being on liquids for 2 weeks, but to my surprise, I can't figure it out what to eat, I tried soft tacos with a bean, chicken and salsa mixture (all blended, the nurse told me , was good) and … Big MISTAKE!!!!Even though I chew it a lot… the soft taco is WAY to thick! I felt stuck, it was weird!!! And I don't even have any liquid in my band!!! , but I guess my doc is right (surprise, hehehe), I'll learn as I go!!! I'm also scared of eating and gaining the weight that I lost back!!! What do I do!!!?? haaaaaaaa
  21. OMG.. You're brave.. I could never do this with out my Husband's help… He is awesome!
  22. Wow.. you people are fast!!! hehehehehe..I'm ok with it, but my husband is so scared he is going to hurt me.. maybe tonight we'll give it a try!!!

Yes they are!!! My survivor kit? Crystal light with Isopure , sugar free popsicle, and lots and lots of water!! Good Luck! And keep us posted! I got banded Thursday, March 10! I still can't believe it. I had more pain the second day than the first but today (3rd day post op) I seem to feel a little better. I am even considering just taking ibuprofen instead of narcotics but I keep reading conflicting things if it is ok or not. I know I wasn't getting enough liquids..every time I drink something I feel like it takes a long time to go down. I sent the hubby to get sugar free popsicles...they are the bomb! Good luck to those of you getting banded this week, the whole process was smoother than I thought it would be and soon you'll be a bandster too!
