I've always been the "fat" girl in the bunch.  It's been on my mind getting the band for a long time.  I had my doubts because of what my family thinks of it.  They believe that if you want to lose the weight bad enough that you need to work at it.  Well, I did that and many diets but once I lost about 10lbs they seem to find me again.  I got tired of the yo-yo ride and decided I needed to make a change for me.  After speaking to my doctor and husband I decided to have the surgery.  My husband been kind of supportive about it but I don't think he understands the whole concept of it.  At times, I find myself eatting late with him or sitting on the couch with him instead of working out just so he won't feel like I don't have time for him.  I got better at it but have to remind him that I have a new life style of eatting and trying to be healthy.  He gained weight over the years but to him its ok and that he love the way he is.  Don't get me wrong I love him for who he is and how he looks but his health could be better.  But I've learned that you can't change a person if they don't want to change.  Well, I've had the band for 6 months and I'm still trying to figure it out.  I do get disappointed at times when I read blogs of those who've losted much more weight than I have but I do remind myself that everyone is different and the band helps everyone in a different way.  So I'm taking my journey one day at a time and enjoying it!
