Still can not get a whole protein shake down me, and only about 40 oz of water since surgery on march 23rd..OMG its so hard to get all my fluids..what to do???

Surgery done and over with, had it on march 23r..it is the 2nd day, and Im still n a little pain, but other then that im so EXCITED to see how tings go with this next 4 weeks of liquids..19lbs are gone so far..YEE-HAW!!

I have same issues with pain, I had surgery on march 23rd, and my port site has been pretty tender and feels hard, but other then that it is not bad at all, finally got rid of tons of gas this am and boy dies that help..im hoping by tomorrow ill feel much better, im so gald i decided to do it, no matter how much pain i have to go throu..I hope ur pain goes away soon

TOTALLY AGREE with the rest.. I have lost 18 pounds in 10 days JUST on the liquid diet, im one day out and lost another pound..go post this CRAP somewhere else!!!

I have mine tomorrow..I am totally nervous..I am a smoker, and I did not quit (my Dr.does NOT require his patients to quit) but it still makes me kinda scared..hope all goes well with your surgery..best of luck sent your way

I am on my last day of my liquid diet..10 days total..I have lost 18 pounds..yay..I was on a all liquid diet, I could have 3 protein shakes a day, 3 liters of water a day..crystil light..sugar free popsicles/jell-o..chicken broth,beef broth..it was hard the first 4 days, but then got much better..I have read all sorts of different pre-diets drs. put people on, Im, so glad mine put me on the all liquid only because it will get me ready for the 4 weeks after for all the liquids i will have to have..I do not miss food at all..weird huh?!!..lol..I wish u the best of luck on your diet, and just remember it does get better..good luck

I actually did it!! i am under 300 lbs (299) before surgery tomorrow..This was my first goal ever, and I actually made it..

Thats totally Awesome!!! Im so happy for you!! I have mine on weds the 23rd march...I only had to wait few months, for i am self pay, If u are not sure at all on what u can or should not eat/drink give your dr.office a call, it really helps, and they r there to help with this..I had to do a 10 day all liquid/protein shake diet, its not to bad, and it did help me to lose 16 pounds so far (2 more days of it) Im totally new to these forums, so i dont have much experience with anything yet, but feel free to add me as a friend..best of luck to you

The BIG day is 2 days away..Still nervous, but not totally freaking out like before.. so far down 16 pounds on the liquid diet..my first goal is 1 more pound..I cant believe i lost that much!!

I am on day 8of 10 on mine, the first 4 days were kinda tough for me..I did not cheat, but at times 3 hrs would go by and all i could think about was a bag of doritos..lol..day 5 and on have been a breeze, I weighed myself everysingle day, not sure if that is wise or not, this is how it breaks down.. sunday--weigh in at 317 monday--weigh in at 311 tuesday--weigh 308 wed-- weigh 306 thurs--weigh 305 fri--weigh 304 sat--weigh 303 sun--303 So i have totally lost 14 pounds in those 8 days, I have not been really exercising or walking at all yet, the weather here has been horrible, i hope to get the next 2 days of walking in before i go in for surgery on weds the 23rd..Good luck to you and the liquid diet, it is hard at times, just keep in mind why ur doing it in the first place.. -
I take 2 flintstone vitamins a day, but im having a hard time finding chewable calcium , so I bought Liquid cal-mag..I dont have my surgery til this weds, but I made sure i was totally prepared.. any suggestions on where to get the chewable calcium citrate would be greatly apreciated..

I have my surgery on march 23rd, and I totally am with u on being terrified!! I am also getting my hernia repaired, have sleep apnea, but other then that healthy..I have had a C-section in 04 and it went fine, that is the only time i have had any type of surgery..I also have anxiety, and am concerned on how I will react once i get in the surgery room..lol..I apreciate all the other post on here, they r very helpful..so u are not the only one that is totally freaking out at this tim..I wish u the best of luck!! -
I have my surgery on March 23..4 days from now..yippie!! Im still kinda scared to death, I to have sleep apnea, I am on day 6 of my 10 day clear pre-op diet..I am down 14 pounds so far..I was totally shocked..I am allowed to have 3 protein shakes a day..Chicken broth..sugar free jell-o..sugar free popsicles..I drink tons of water, and crystal light..It has not been that bad to stick with it, I was so worried I would cheat and not lose weight, but i was so scared that i wanted to make sure i lost the most i could..My husband and boys (6,13,13) have been great about cooking meals so i would not get tempted..by the 4th day It was great..I hope u find all the info u need to put ur mind at ease..Good Luck..

I have my surgery date..March 23rd..Im having mixed emotions on how I feel..one min im happy, the next im totally freaking out..is this normal?!!

My surgery date is March 23..I have been waiting 3 years to have this done, after insurence ran out right what i was getting approved, I have been saving for awhile to self-pay..all my money is in order, and I have surgery date, I should feel so excited, but im SCARED to death of how things are gonna go..all these emotions are really starting to scare me..Im sure it is normal, But I do know how u feel..
