    Anyone from Saskatoon?

Hi I am from Saskatoon. I just had my surgery on March 10 th in Regina.
  2. March 10 th is my date. I am getting excited and scared all at once. I spend my spare time on this site and I am so thankful for everyone that is on here for their advice and support .
  3. I plan on taking off two weeks. I will certainly be able to have lighter duty for the next month. After that it is go go go. I am glad to hear that the fatigue subsides quite quickly.
  4. I feel better reading all the threads and posts on this forum. I am very excited to begin this journey. I have been on this Bariatric Pal website for constantly over the last few days. My question is this. I work at a greenhouse and my job can be quite physical. I can only take the minimum amount of time off work because I am just going back to work after being off for two months during the slow season. The busy season is just around the corner. A few of the people on this site have mentioned that they don't have a great amount of energy and feel generally quite fatigued . This concerns me because I use loads of energy with my job. How long does this fatigue last? Will I be able to do my job properly? I am sorry if thus question sounds silly I was just hoping someone could enlighten me. Thank you.

    February/March 2014 sleevers

Hi. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I got my surgery date....March 10th. I am concerned about the two week diet before surgery. I would certainly appreciate any suggestions to help me through this.

  7. Hi Cindy. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I was just looking at your weight loss thus far and you are doing amazing. Do you really feel good? Obviously, this was the right decision for you. I am so worried about what happens after the surgery. I, too, have spent hours and hours on this site reading about the procedure and what happens after. I am a little worried about the food getting stuck and the sliming and such. Does this happen to you often? Do you panic when this happens? I just have so many questions. Thank you again and good luck on your lifelong journey.
  8. Thanks Doddie for your reply. I am going to call tomorrow am. I am really hoping that the wait time isn't too long. I am really excited about this!. I was not sure what to ask the clinic so this helps me.
  9. Hello Everyone. I am seriously considering having the lap band surgery. I will have the procedure done at the Omni Center in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long the waiting list is and the cost of the procedure. I have to make some permanent changes in my life and I can't make these changes with a low self esteem. I feel that this procedure will help me gain the confidence I need to move forward with my life. I have been reading the topics on this site and I feel that this is the site to help me. Everyone is so positive. Thank you and I look forward to your replies.
