Recommitting to my band and exercise!!!
sahney replied to Froggie D's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congratulations! My story is similar! Just had my gall Bladder removed and have fallen off the wagon too! Determined to get back on and take control of my Life! Following you in your Journey!!! -
All set for my Gall Bladder removal surgery - checking into the hospital tonight! Surgery early tomorrow morning! Fingers crossed!!!

Hi had my attach a week ago - excruciating pain - Doctor was worried it could be acute pancreatitis, turned out a stone was blocking my bile duct. Luckily it passed - but was in Hospital for a couple of days. My Doctor has suggested to wait for 10 days (for the GB to settle down) and then go in for a gallbladder removal surgery. A little tense. :-(

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />Hi had my surgery more than a year ago, have lost 60 odd pounds – My problem is recently when I consume splenda I get severe Abdominal pain and cramps ; the splenda can be in the form of crystal light or with my coffee. I was wondering if any other member have experienced this? Earlier I would pop a Tums or a Gasx to get rid of the cramps but soon they stopped being affective and did not curtail the discomfort ! I would go through bouts of agonizing pain! After a lot of trial and error I have isolated the cause to splenda! Any information would be helpful –Thanks!

Hi I just got my 4th Fill. Now have 6.3 cc in a 10 CC band. As per my Doc. the suggested thumb Rule for the number of fills is about 3 fills a year and the best judge when it’s the right time for the next fill - is the patient himself. If i can start eating sushi, feel famished every 3 hours etc. etc. I know its time for the next fill! PS: Still waiting for the elusive “sweet spot”

Does walking relieve a stuck episode?
sahney replied to LiveLifeAgain's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I walk around when food gets stuck - but what has worked best for me - I play tennis on my Wii (if I am home) - Helps in three ways – 1) By concentrating on the game my attention is diverted from the PBing sensation, 2) Food goes down rather than coming up 3) Get some exercise :-) -
A Hearty Congratulations and Much kudos to you !!!! Other than you being an inspiration - it would be great if you would be kind enough to put down a sample meal for a day and you mentioned you work out 5 to 6 days a week for half an hour - doing what? - any other tips would also be appreciated. All the best!!!

sahney replied to Wendell Edwards's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi had my 3rd fill on Thursday - Total 5.5 CC. Had a tough 4 days - including not being able to drink more than a sip of water :-(. But my perseverance paid off - Have lost 7 pounds since my fill, and have move to thicker liquids!!! (I guess I have lost some fat around the band and swallowing has become much easier). Really excited as I had not lost weight for more than 2.5 months!!!! -
