YAY Congrats!!! I was 1 week post op Monday and I feel great... I also have lost 15 lbs in one week and am amazed, but a little worried once I start eating i will gain it back, just like every other diet I have been on....The dr said that its possible I might but probably not so we shall see... So happy for you keep up the good work!!!

YAY I was banded on the 10th also and just had my one-week apttoday.. It went great. i first got weight then they checked vitals then dr looked at my cuts and then i asked her the questions i had and that was it.. It was very good/quick!!! Keep me posted maybe we can become buddies since we were banded same day

Soooo glad to see Im not the only one.. very few ppl know, but Im not sure what im going to tell ppl once they start noticing, but i dont like to lie.... A very few ppl know but it my town it probably wont take long for others to find out... I was told by another banster that once I start losing i will be to excited to keep it a secret and will want to tell the world and there should be no shame... We shall seee.... Good luck to you all

Thanks for your input.. I dont need mine to be so sweet I just bsolutely hate artificial sweetners.. I think they ruin my liquid lol.. My whole family uses them.. But your saying I can have a little, it wont kill me right? Thanks again

I have tried Truvia, I hate it, but havent tried the syrups, I might have to give it a try. Thank you and how did you fet the scale on your page? I have one at tickerfactory.com but cant figure how to get it on my page.. Thanks

Same here with the glue.. I was banded Jan 10th and glue still holdong strong. I just try to keep my back more to the water and dont scrub them, I also use an anti bacterial wash soap just in case.. A little paranoid i guess Good luck

I know the gas pain is normal and my surgery was just ysterday, but i'd feel like a million bucks if the gas pain would subside... Has anyone gotten any other advise besides walk??Its much better then yesterday, i thought i would die, but my shoulder blades still kill and when i take a deep breathe. Just wondering.. Thanks

LOL I hear ya Sarah.... Still struggling with gas.. Ugh day 4 post-op.... i called office yesterday, they told me the gas x wouldnt work bc the gas isnt like normal gas or in the normal place I guess this gas is from them putting it in there around my stomach not in my stomach so i dont know.. Just want it to go away

Having the same problems!!!! I know how it feels and I am sorry.. It hasnt been a week yet for me, but i called yesterday and they told me its gas and should subside by today and it hasnt.. I was doing some reading on some of the other forums and came acrossed this women who had mentioned a pinched nerve from the band pressing on it.. I wrote it down some where but misplaced it.... She said it bothers her for a while then goes away until she gets a fill... I hope that you can find someone to help you Good luck

Thanks everyone.. Nothing has helped yet but maybe it is the Phrenic nerve.. I will have to check into that.. Also even after a few sips of something i feel totally bloated.. I have a call into my dr bc i havent been drinking much but maybe just the gas.. We shall see..

Good luck to you today!!!! My name is Nicole and I am being banded on Monday and so nervous Im making myself sick. I have been over weight my whole life, but now that i look back on highschool pics at 160lbs i wish i was her lol.. I am currently 27 years old 5'1 and 235.. My weight is evenly distributed throughout my whole body... My mom and husband are supporting me and i like to think my father tooo but other then that very few ppl know.. Its hard for me to tell ppl and I dont know why. I am very close to my cousins but everything is a compatition to them, including weight... Im not like that. They wont understand that Im doing it for me and they wont be happy.. I know that sounds aweful, but they arent bad ppl... Ugh I want to be able to tell ppl I just dont want to hear the negativity they might and very possibly may have. Any ways thats me.. Hope to hear from you soon and Good luck
