I am going to have the Lap band surgery done in a few months and I am going to have it done by Dr. Northup here in Cincinnati, OH. I am wondering if anyone on here has had it done by him and if anyone has any info, advice, warnings, etc. Thanks!

I have some questions about the post surgery diet...what will I be able to eat, how many calories at 2 months, 4 months, etc...

I will only have been on my liquid diet for 8 days when I have my surgery. I had never heard back from the office and apparently someone forgot to call me to tell me I was approved and to come in for my final visit to talk about diet and consent forms. It's all straightened out now, but I'm worried about only being on the diet for one week. This diet is so hard, I am on the all liquid diet, drinking shakes, and not eating food at all. I am unsure why some people on here are able to eat small amounts of food and some are liquid only! I wonder what the difference is.

I am so nervous too, mine is scheduled for March 30th. I am new to this site and it feels good to read everyone's comments! Good luck to you!
