I think we have all been there with the , hey big guy , all I can say it will go away , I don't hear that anymore when I am out , and it's nice , I didn't even think about it till you posted this , damn it feels good to be smaller

Since I posted on this thread back in June 17 , I have lost 5 more pounds and still have not work out yet , granted my weight loss has slowed down , but even my wifes says I still look heathly , compared to other times I lost close to the same amount of weight , so right now I am happy with slow and steady , I know the closer I get to goal weight it will get harder , but I will deal with that when it comes

^^^^ are we at Starbucks , I get muscle milk from Costco , 35 bucks for 6 lbs , I have been using it for the past 6 months , I tried some other ones but I keep coming back , it taste like chocolate milk to me , and it's smooth

It's funny I read peoples comments about how they are worry about sodas eroding our stomach band , but then they turn around and say , I drink them my whole life until I got my band and during the whole life drinking it did it ever erode your stomach , so why would you think now after being banded that a soda would do that , and I can't still see how carbonation will expand your pouch , because doesnt a liquid supposed to go right by the band , and if you get air you will burp , now said I can see why they say stay away from regular sodas is because of the sugar , diet sodas because of the artificial content and both have caffeine and calories , I think those matter way more then the carbonation could maybe do to your stomach
-
So how is carbonation going do desolve your band , your band is on the outside of your stomach and again it's a liquid , so it will pass right by the band , and even if carbonation could erode your stomach , don't you think it will happen to everybody who drinks it's , all those people wil have holes in there stomachs

Can you make shakes ahead of time?
JakerT5 replied to topazz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just reread mine again , does not say that , I am using the 100% whey protien -
Really , did you even think about what you said , yes if you put a ballon over a soda it will inflate , now put a ballon with a hole in it and see if it inflates , now I drink carbonate stuff all the time and what I have learn from this is , I don't see how a liquid can even sit in your pouch , since liquids are supposed to pass right trough the band and it's not the carbonation and your pouch , it's more of it sitting in your stomach making gas , which is harder to pass trough the band back out your mouth , that's why most of can't burp anymore anyways , I don't burp I just let out air and it can make it very uncomfable for some , there has never been any test or studies on the matter at all , just what are doctors tell us , I bet most of them say don't drink things with carb because most of all drinks that have carbs , has sugar and calories in them

My wife has been making mine at night , for my breakfast and lunch the next day , since I started in January , they say you lose something from making them early , but yet to see how much or if anything , no where on the label it says drink right away -
This is the first tat , I wouldnt recommend getting , I mean it's an object that can be moved or taken out , then what you going to do , people asking what's that sun or arrow on your stomach for , uh it was my lap band port , but I had to have it ,etc , etc, . I have been wanting a lion face on my shoulder for years now and now that I gone down in size I been thinking more about getting it

Did you even ask him what he meant by that , we say words and mean different things , when I read flabby , i was thinking you had extra skin , not being fat , I never saw a fat person and said they look flabby , but when I see people with extra skin I will say flabby , I just reread your post , go ask him WTH he meant by that -
I have lost 55 pounds , since my surgery (Jan 28th ) got only 2 fills , the last was in april , i have not started working out , I wasnt going to even think about working out , because once you start , you have to keep at it , but now I have been thinking of starting to work out , I am 25 pounds from goal and the weight has slowed down , but I am still losing inches , I wanted to lose more fat first before I started working out

Any Female Friends Now Treat You Differently?
JakerT5 replied to 1970MaleJaxFL's topic in The Guys’ Room
Do not try to get with your friends , when you are more comfortable ask , them to hook you up with one of there friends , that why you have a friend , who will run there mouth about you -
To be honest , I don't won't to start working out , once you start working out you have to keep doing it , because when you stop all what you worked for starts going away , now don't get me wrong , i know I will have to work out eventually , but I am waiting to the last thing I have to do

I had surgery on Jan 28th , I went trough my insurance BCBS , the checks have been rolling in for my WLS place , check here , check there , then I started to notice the bigger checks , 13,000 , 8,0000, then wow a check for 31,000 , I was like dang , so me and the wife started doing the math , my ins has payed 72,000 for my WLS journey so far , we just couldn't believe it , so far I have not payed anything , I know one thing if they try to come after me for ins not paying them enough , I will be yelling
-
Maybe I didn't say it right , how much did your ins pay for your WLS , not how much you payed out , or they payed 80 and you payed 20 , the cost of your surgery they billed your ins , like I said so far my ins has payed 72,000 for my surgery , just wondering if other people are seeing that much money spent for the WLS

You are right about a lot of things , I had surgery on Jan 28th , starting weight 263 , as of today I weigh 208 , I have had 2 fills and my last fill on was on April 4th , I have not even started excersing yet , what I have been doing is change my eating habits and watch what I eat and when I eat it

I have the same job as you , If you look at your other post I answer you , for me took two weeks off , came back on a wenesday , so I would only have to work three days and be off for two more , I wouldn't even think about coming back on a Monday and doing a full week , and a lot people think they have a physical job , so the comments will be over and different

Hiding it for the holiday
JakerT5 replied to Auroraishere's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me , I am calling this my cheat weekend , I got banded on Jan 28 ( 263) , now I weigh 208 , I been good since the start , but now I am really starting to crave things , so I made this weekend to eat what I want and don't worry about carbs , calories , or anything ,we had two party's to go to on sat and a family picnic on Sunday , the funny part is it is Saturday I ate , whatever I wanted and relized that I barely ate as much as I thought I would , so I am hoping the picnic will go all well , and monday back to reality -
I am a ups driver in socal , I took 2 weeks off and came back on a wensday , so I would only have to work those 3 days and then be off another 2 days
-
Look at like this , it might be a good sign , now you can go out start walking , building up your cardio , so when that gym opens you , you will tear it up

JakerT5 replied to maria1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Dont get it , you are not ready , but more then likely you will get the band , complain all the time , why you don't lose weight , don't do anything to change and then go around telling people the band doesnt work , so please make sure you know what you are getting into before you start this journey
