11am but knowing me i'll be sitting in his office by 10am because im an early bird plus i'll be nervous and anxious. Apparently he is usually running at least 1 hour late. Expect my post inbetween 1-2.30. 'im so exited and i just cant hide it, im about to loose control and i just cant fight it'.... that damn song has been in my head all day!!!!

No they dont support each other and those sort of people i really hope stay out of our site. If i hadnt found this site id be stressing about this week but im really cool and prepared. I'll let you all know what he said as soon as i walk in the front door. i'll probably tell you all before my family because your my main support network and i need all of you to be there throughout my journey. ---------------------------------------------------------------- 1st consult Dr Nottle: tomorrow :clap2:

In less than 15.5hrs i will be sitting in dr nottle's waiting room.... :biggrin1: Fingers and toes crossed that i get a date within the next 2-3 weeks.

cool... im visualizing 1-2 days post initial consult and give you the hint... it doesnt look good. I just dont want to bounce in there and walk out disappointed. This is going to be a huge week for me and there are 2 things that can dampen it 1/ op more than a month down the track 2/ being sent for sleep studies.... After wednesday all will be revealed...

im over it now... just a bit disappointed to get a reply to a post like i did on the other site. Maybe she just needs to 'take a chill pill'. She has since replied back saying she didnt mean to be precieved like she obviously has been and actually attempted to answer my questions. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Im a bit down also after reading a post on the other site... it said that the average waiting time for the op for a private patient with Dr Nottle post initial consult is 6-8 weeks. Im going to go nuts if i have to wait longer than 2-3 weeks :help:

OMG... i posted on one of the yahoo sites and came across a b**ch. I did the 2 sleeps until etc and asked a few questions. This person replie 1/ not answering my questions 2/ instead saying i sounded like a child at Christmas so she would play mum and then proceededed to go on about the journey and to be patient and cherish every moment bla bla bla. I posted back to the group: I may sound like an excited child but thats because im very excited and id appreciate if people only repliy to my posts if they can answer the questions. Since then ive had a lot of helpful posts. Havernt seen her post again... wonder why. Im finding that other site can be very nasty ie noticed people getting blasted if they go off topics. ie mentioning tummy tuck when the topic was lapbanding.... maybe im slow and my uni degrees fell out of a weetbix packet but... isnt it all related.... AH... some people. Thats it im sticking with my friends ( all of you) and staying clear from the other aussie sites. -------------------------------------------------------------- 1 more sleep to Dr Nottle 3 more sleeps to see the Dietician and Physician

Well i too initially made an appointment to see Dr nottle at the start of october 2006 but did as you did Loretta and chickened out. This was mainly due to the negativity around me from others. The i decided... hey!! this is my life and i want this so i rebooked in December and finally my 1st consult is Monday. Loretta.... do you have another appointment to see Dr Nottle?? if so... you too may get an actual date. Mid-year isnt far away.

Hey i'll shout you all to a drink... maybe a few sips of water if i get booked in before the end of February. I dont think its really sunk in that next week i'll see all the relevant people and then its all go, go, go from there. Its been a long 8 weeks waiting for all this to happen.

well ive been a busy beaver... Ive compiled 2 folders... 1 for Dr Nottle and 1 for Dr Tran... in it...referals from GP and neurologist and copies of all past operation, tests etc over the past 5 years as well as... A referal from ME... stating why i need/want to be banded and why im an ideal candidate... I swear they are going to say ' oh no, a nurse'. They will want to band me asap just to get rid of me Thanks Susannah: Ive never been called a legend ... when im banded im going to change my name to ' Bronnie the banded legend'.... cool --------------------------------------------------------- 1st consult Dr Nottle: 12/2/07 Dietician and Physician appts: 14/2/07

Thats right.............. we have a wonderful little support network here and i believe we will all get through this together. The encouragement is great and seeing others go through this before me makes me more excited for when the day comes that i join you. 2 more sleeps until i see Dr Nottle and 4 sleeps until the Dietician and Physician and then hopefully i have a date booked in. Im going to ask for 22/2 as thats 20 days after Susannah and im 20 days younger.... I somehow think that logic isnt going to get me that date. Undoubtably i'll be looking at March sometime....... mmmmmmmmmmm... easter bunny isnt coming to me this year.

I have chosen the lapbanding road because im tired of being overweight. I want to be able to buy nice clothes, cut my toenails without breaking into a sweat and most importantly... i wont to be happy and like myself. you may be correct... you here all different things... Like ive heard Kirstie Ally has had lapbanding... guess we cant believe all we here or anything we here. to change the subject.... 3 more sleeps until i have my first consult with Dr Nottle :clap2:

r/e Anna Nicole Smith.... anyone young that dies is always sad. I remember reading somewhere ages ago that she was a lapbander many moons ago. i remember her being rather plum at one stage and then turning into a body beautiful similar to what im going to do in the near future!!!

Well im half way through the day and havernt cheated.... cant wait for the Chocolate Optifast shake in about 1/2 an hour for lunch. Im going to do this.............

Here we go again!!! Day 1 of Optifast. Thought since im seeing Dr Nottle next Monday... im definately starting Optifast and then he may be happy to do the operation sometime in the next month. The earlier the better.

I wish i was Megan Gale..... but at this weight if i was her i think Mark would break his back.... lol

Hi all............ I havernt disappeared Susannah..... still here and determined as ever to be banded. Sometimes i wish i didnt mention to people outside this group that im going to get banded. I guess im getting so excited with my initial consult with Dr Nottle next monday and appointments next wednesday with the Physician and Dietician , that i seem to mention it to anyone thats around me. I then get mainly negative comments: -why would you do that, its very drastic - and everyone knows someone thats been banded and non seem to be successful........... or............ had heaps of problems I just for once want to here positive things.............. I know i'll most probably have pain post-op and may have a few problems down the track but im so determined and looking forward to introducing myself to that thin person inside me .............. im sure she's really cool and we'll become great buddies........... she's 5'6, blonde, tanned and THIN
