I've had the LapBand for over 10 years. I could be a 'spokesperson' for it I love it so much. I have found that (what works for me) is an appetite suppressant like Adipex or phentermine helps a lot (though it is extremely difficult to get due to all the regulations but it has worked great for me), LapBand is a wonderful tool once you master it. I'm not skinny but it changed my life.

Now, I am 44 and very healthy but just found out I'm pregnant and a little nervous about gaining weight. I don't mind some, but a lot (I have one child, she's 11 yrs old, I gained 60 lbs). After I had my daughter is when I got the LapBand.

I am currently 145 lbs. Been thinking about getting another fill (last one was 2 yrs ago). I normally keep 2.5 cc's in the band.
