    alittle odd question

my dr recommended stool softener. I also used fiber gummies from Walmart. Only needed them for about a week. Once you start food, it all returns to normal

    Liquid Vitamin Suggestions

I use the liquid Reviva from Sam's club too. I was taking the same chewables as you and I have a hard time with the taste. You only have to take 1-2 tbsp of this liquid. Tastes good mixed with diet V-8 juice. For Calcium I take Viactin chew, they come in choc or vanilla. The choc ones taste like candy and are delicious.

    Calling all Military Spouses

I am on tricare prime remote and have not had to pay a penny out of pocket. I have my first fill next week and tricare has paid every penny so far

    Gas problems

I am 6 days post ops and full of gas! Have tried gas x with not much relief. The protein is very important to your healing and you should make sure you get it in! I finally pooped on Friday with much determination on my part. I was told NO ice cream. You can make a great shake with carnation instant Breakfast sugar free (blue box) and mix it with nonfat dry milk to get about 35 grams of protein in. The vanilla ones are very good! Just add skim milk to it and you are good to go. This is what my dietician recommended.

    TriCare Prime & LapBand Procedure.

Tori, take advantage of one of the few benefits we get from the military! We get these services free!!! I talked with my PCM about the procedure and she knew of the surgeon who did them. I am not near a military installation and am on prime remote. I had to do months of legwork to get it approved with this surgeon. Tricare kept referring me to gen. surgeons who could not due the procedure. I was persistent with many phone calls and finally got the results I wanted. I had my lap band put on this past Monday. Don't worry what those Army peeps think of you...this is for YOU! And is usually takes most people 6 months to get through the hoops of insurance but it only took me 2 months of appt's and my procedure was completed...so that part with tricare was easy...no 6 month waiting period or psych eval were needed. Good luck!
