HELP! HELP!

I agree with bufflehead. Cut out sugar and white stuff. Eat Protein at every meal. Don't drink any calories of any kind. Enjoy veggies, nuts, fruit, cheese, protein. Don't skip meals. I personally believe exercise has nothing to do with weight loss... Good luck, Heather -
Hey guys, For those that are maintaining their goal weight, what was the one thing that was key in your weight loss and maintenance? For me it was ditching the "white" stuff (sugar, wheat, bread, Pasta, rice, Cookies, artificial sugar, flour etc.) I thought it would be interesting to see if there are any similarities in our success strategies. Still happily married My husband is very supportive, but was at first pretty concerned because he was worried that there would be complications during the surgery. I think it was something that just made us stronger together. Hope it all works out for the best for you! Heather

Good job! I've been banded since 2012 and at my goal weight. Like all who have posted before me, the band is a tool and should be treated as such. You have to change your eating habits to make weight loss a permanent thing. Keep it up Heather

Hey, Just keep on learning about weight loss. When I was losing weight and even now when I'm maintaining my weight, I avoid "white" foods. That means bread, Pasta, sugar, rice, flour etc. You need to make sure you feed yourself really well with nutritious foods. Use smaller portion sizes and try not to eat after 7pm or so. Keep at it. Keep learning and keep trying Everyone runs into roadblocks along the way. Best wishes, Heather

I was banded in 2012 at SWLC with Dr. Cobourn and am very happy with my results. I thought he was a very kind and caring doctor.

Currently pregnant and planning for a surgery after delivery
OttawaMommy replied to SweetyShetty1988's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi, I was also in the same situation as you. I had scheduled my lap band surgery and then got pregnant! So, I decided to breastfeed baby for a year and then have my surgery. I'm very happy that I did and am happy with the results. Good luck, Heather -
And then, this happened...

From the album: Crazy things I do
I started when I was 30 lbs away from my goal weight. I've been doing this since I was 35 years old. Many people like me start practicing this sport as an adult. -

Anyone banded from the CIBO clinic in Toronto, Canada?
OttawaMommy posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hi, I'm from Ottawa, Canada. Has anyone been banded at the CIBO clinic in Toronto? Any feedback as to how they were? -
Newbie here... I have a BMI of 30 and I'm scheduled in for banding in Feb in an Ontario, Canada clinic. Anyone with a BMI of 30 being banded?
-
Hi, I'm new here. I decided to be banded after a life of being heavy. I'm at a BMI of 30 now. Any other Canadians here? I'll be paying about $18K for it and it's not covered by insurance I think. Did anyone have it done elsewhere and are happy with the results. I see ads for bands being installed for $4K... Not sure which country this is done in My DH is freaking out and is scared that there may be really bad complications.
