Just checking in to say HOWDY ! Yes I am still alive and kicking over here lol. Things are going pretty good and don't have much to complain about. I don't know if anyone knows who he is but those who watch the news will know. I got to meet General Petraeus yesterday and check out an Apache helicopter ! Woohooo it was fun. Hey all Just updating, I moved from Baghdad to my actual base now. Was a pretty exciting move. Flew here in a CH-46 helicopter at night. I guess its safer that way. Its pretty neat seeing all the city lights at night from that level. It was colder than ever in that thing though. The military doesn't make those things to comfy either lol :tongue: and no inflight movie or peanuts ! haha Been pretty quiet over here except for some out going artillery (which shake the hell out of your tent) and all the hellicopters flying over. I got my new job as a contract firefighter ! Thank you lapband ! The job is a contract firefighting job in Iraq for a year. I have mentioned it a few times but got the official phone call today saying my plane ticket will be in by Friday. I leave for Houston on January 7th and then the Middle East a week later. I am so stoked about this. I actually had this job 2 years ago but was kicked back because I was to fat :nervous so thanks to the lapband I am now healthy and eligible for the position. I am feeling like a kid in a candy store right now ! I am obviously nervous but just excited as hell. Just wanted to tell everyone on here THANK YOU because this site has been great for support and even through ups and downs with some of you on crazy things I still appreciate everyone the same. We are all like some dysfunctional family on crack lol I don't know how much I will be around once I ship out so just wanted to say never give up and keep on moving because your dreams are there for the taking. The point I am making is if they put the money to good use then good. Why should we lets some big corporation get rich on your money? I say if the state does take that money that was never used and uses it on schools or road projects or anything more important than lining someones pocket then so be it.

I duno I think I would rather the state take it to use in some fashion instead of taxes. Thats better than the store making money on me.

Ok so am I the only one who has a hard time letting go of that old belt that you wore when you were at your largest? I mean I just love the fact that I have had to add like 8 holes in it to make it smaller. I don't know maybe its just like a trophy to me or something of that nature. My GF was telling me to buy a new one and I told her she was nuts lol. I guess she would never understand considering she is only 110 lbs lol. So am I the actual crazy person or are there more of us out there? :confused:

I used my cordless drill and a drill bit. It works just fine lol. Wally world is good for the cheep polo shirts also. I have changed a few sizes since I have started my journey.

I think what is trying to be said that in a society with a divorce rate over 50% and conservative values being broken down so much these days its nice to see someone who still holds true to his beliefs and family values first. Thats just my interpretation lol .
