Chris_NJ replied to mommy2kyler's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Have not had anything carbonated in 6 years so had not affected me any way at all. Just drop them because they are generally bad anyhow. -

Chris_NJ replied to Bones08's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Got my first fill today ! It wasn't a thing don't worry. I couldn't even feel it. They put 2cc's in. I hope it gives me some restriction. -

For BMI > 60, GBP instead of Lap Band?
Chris_NJ replied to only1nik's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My Doctor was the same way. He pushed for me to get the bypass also. My answer to him was it took me 30 years to put it on and if it takes a few months longer to take of then its fine by me ! My BMI was around 56 when I started this and now its 48 and I only started the journey 4/27. Its coming off pretty good so far. Its ultimately your decision but the advice given so far has been pretty spot on. Good luck either way you choose. -
:clap2: Way to go ! Have fun at Fenway ,its just a shame there going to lose! :heh: I go for my first fill this Friday and I can't wait ! Hoping progress picks up even more ! Its funny I started walking every day over 2 miles a few weeks ago and it seems the weight slowed down :paranoid. I hope this fill kicks it in !

Sounds like boredom kicks in. Go for a walk if you're able to. Sometimes when I sit around and get the munchies I make a cup of coffee (decaf) and it tends to quell the temptation. If you have to have something get the sugar free jello cups and have 1 or 2 of those. Only 10 cals.

Thanks bro ! I just got a visual of a speedo lol. Don't worry man the liquid isn't that bad. The hardest is the first few days and after that its smooth sailing. What are you taking for the liquid? I used the Medifast.

Woohoo the weight is starting to come off again ! I know I have lost a lot so far so I shouldn't complain but I was getting nervous because I had a stall for over a week with no weight loss. It was weird because as soon as I started to increase my walking to 2 plus miles a day the weight stopped. May be because of muscle was replacing fat. I think it may have been caloric intake though. I was eating around 400 a day and have recently increased it over 600 the passed couple days and I weighed myself this morning and was around 3 lbs lighter . I was happy to see the scale move again !

at my 6th day I went to the Dr's and they told me I could start bringing in the mushies. My fav is egg white omlet with fine chopped up green pepper and a slice of fake cheese melted on it. less than 100 calories and healthy !

Banded 2/19/07 Unbanded 3/2/07 try again?
Chris_NJ replied to Carrie E's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think I would be in contact with my lawyer first. Then go see another surgeon. Good luck with your decision. -
Wow sounds like a nut I think she needs to be red flagged. Glad to see she at least approved you. When I had my evaluation I was in and out in less then 15 minutes. I tool longer in the waiting room. I actually had the girl behind the counter answer my questionnaire lol. When I was in the room he asked me a couple questions and then I told him that I don't really believe in psychiatrists. He said ok and then finished lol.

I am in the same situation with the fire thing. I am on leave from it for now but go back to the Dr's in a few weeks to ask that question.

I am having just the opposite. I have been taking acid reflux pills for over 6 years and when i didn't take them I would have reflux no matter what i ate. Since the band on the 9th i have not had one pill an no acid at all. Is this common ? I am loving not having to take it.

As of today I am officially down 38 lbs now :clap2:. I hope this doesn't slow down. To those that it has keep faith and work hard. Good Luck ! Chris
