    I've Been Bad

    I've done really well up until the past couple days,,it was more than a couple bites of the cheese cake and I've had some other things that I shouldn't have had (in quantity). I had just stated in another girls post that it's ok to have a little something in moderation. I don't know what made me do it. But thanks to all of you for your motivating words. I've done really well today,,back on the wagon. I got up really early, had my protein shake and excercised vigorously,,went for a mile walk. I feel really good. As for being bad, i just meant I do feel "bad" that I over ate and filled my sleeve beyond its limit. I know it's ok to have a little treat sometimes but I don't wish to push myself past pain anymore.

  5. You're welcome..I honestly thought some would think I was nuts with this post since it's so long. I wanted to edit it but unfortunately you can't.lol Hope you can make some sense of it.

  8. I dont' think it would've mattered what my doctor told me, I had to get better so I pushed myself to do what I knew I needed to do.
  9. When dealing with my leak, my doctor was very specific that nutrition was important along with getting in my fluids and protein in order for me to heal..along with walking. I know that's hard to do but it's vital for healing.
  10. It is alot of info.lol It also didn't paste right with all the "font",,etc. I found this online, it's not really the diet that I was given. There have been several newbies that haven't had the surgery that was curious about post op diets..I thought it was a good example.
  11. I'm down 26 pounds. It was hard because I had lost 24lbs before my leak and was put on tpn. I gained 13 during that time so I had to lose the 13 first ..anyway it's complicated.lol But as of today,,my total is 26. My first 25 pounds and I've knocked my bmi down almost 5 points. I think I'll get myself a prize Woo hoo!!!!!!

    I think you're being a little tough on yourself. If you have those things in moderation and small amounts I think it's fine. There might be others that disagree with me but I had this surgery so I could cut portions, not deprive myself of everything I've ever loved..however I am eating healthier most of the time. I've eaten a few things that I ate pre op that are probably not on the healthy list but I don't do that everyday and it's in small amounts. My weight loss has been steady.
  15. When I get that feeling (not having a stent but I know that stuck feeling). I have myasthenia gravis, a rare autoimmune disease..a form of muscular distrophy that effects my muscles. It really helps me if I sit straight up and rock a little,,but I have to for at least an hour. This was even before I had surgery. You may need to stick with liquids if food is getting hung in your stent..ouch! I feel so bad for you,,I just want to help ( I come from a family of fixers..lol)

  20. I wish I could give some words of wisdom, offer suggestions on the perfect drink for you, tell you how to feel better but I feel I can't help. You've posted for a long time with alot of different ailments and I've tried to help but feel it doesn't matter what i have to offer, you have already tried it..hate it. I'll just keep praying that you get over this fast.

    Thank you Oregondaisy and clk..this is why I asked and you gave the perfect answers. It makes alot of sense. I'm working so hard to do this right. My biggest issue is slowing down when eating..I need to focus and pay attention to what I'm doing more. Thanks you guys!

    I wasn't asking in a plan to stretch my stomach out on purpose. I've just heard yes and no,,was wondering what is the truth. I'm still trying to learn what my stomach can hold,,sometimes I feel full and worry that I might stretch it. I'm having a hard time feeling when to stop so I'm measuring out an amount and eat that. Sometimes I leave the table full,,sometimes still hungry. I'm aware that it will stretch a little as swelling and healing takes place but didn't know if over time it stretched out significantly due to normal eating and drinking.

  24. She doesn't like the taste of them. You can mix them in crystal lite,,they taste good that way.

    I'm having a hard time with this as well. Do we have to eat like this forever or is it yet another phase we must go through?
