    Super Saturday Weigh In

Was out of town on a trip with my hubby this past week. I weighed in this morning at 245.6 so I lost that pound I had gained,,plus .2 pound Hey,,better than nothin.lol Getting back on track this week.
  5. To feel 'fit as a fiddle', you must tone down your middle.

  6. 8 lbs, that's more than 1/2 lb a day. 23 lbs in 2 weeks is ridiculously good. Your body is going through alot and it's playing catch up to all the body drama. You will see results again just give it some time.

    Super Saturday Weigh In

Went up to 246.4 this week.
  8. Going to see my grandaughter,,,Happy birthday, Morgan! God help me from the pizza, cake and ice cream.

  9. You're right, it does say it's a laxative on the bottle. It works like a stool softener though,,it was never harsh on me like exlax or anything in pill form.
  10. Keep in mind, miralax is just a stool softener not a laxative, give it a day or 2.
  11. Warning if TMI.. If you're constipated, you will weigh a bit more till you pass it. Weigh yourself right before you have a bm then weigh after..you should see a pound or 2 drop. I also retain Fluid when I'm constipated. Try miralax,,I've taken it before,,it has no flavor so I add it to coffee or whatever.

    Are You Kidding Me?

I was on tpn for 3 weeks due to a leak,,you would think it would be awful but it wasn't that bad. You just get used to it. Good luck sweetie, I'm so sorry you are having such a bad time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  13. Rise and shine, me...I will work hard today!!

  14. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can help our obese husband/wife? My husband is very supportive of me but I don't think he realizes how his eating habits effect me now. I worry about him. I want him to be healthy too..I wanted this for both of us. He was so motivated when I was going through the preop process but since I've had the surgery, he just seems to be getting worse. He's in pain all the time and he complains about his weight so I know it's something he is aware of and wants to improve.
  15. Unfortunately my husband works 3rd shift so we don't get to eat meals together. I cook most of all the meals,,we eat out sometimes but I make healthy choices,,he does not. He has the option to take something healthy with him to work,,I don't cook fatty meals. Usually when he wakes up around 9pm, I ask him if he'd like me to fix him a plate from dinner or I can whip something up for him and he says no,,and eats a very large jethro bowl of sweetened cereal. I've tried to encourage and motivate him but I've recently realized he has been part of a reason for me being unmotivated and struggling with my choices. I like to do the shopping but often my husband will stop by the store on his way home from work. He'll pick up "things we need" like milk but he very seldom picks up anything I can or should have. He does eat and buy a whole lot of cereal. I have a whole gym in my house so he has no excuse for not excercising but he does complain about it and will only do weights, no cardio and not often enough to really benefit him. He's middle age and becoming stagnant in his lifestyle and I don't want to see this happen.

    Anyone Have Dyspepsia? Frequent Heartburn?

It took up till just here recently for mine to get better..3 1/2 mths out. Eat super slow, lay off anything that is greasy/spicy and take a prescription for it if your dr will write one up for you. I take nexium and zantac.

    Food Makes Me Sleepy...

Going way out there but turkey has tryptophan in it which will make you sleepy if you eat it on an empty stomach..carbs will do it too. Make sure you are drinking lots of water, if you are even slightly dehydrated it will make you feel sluggish and tired.
  18. Just 9 more days, my honey and I will be going away for a trip and week long photo shoot!!!

    Fab 40's shout out

Here is the ticker tutorial that lilmissdiva put together:http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/13516-ticker-tutorial-for-vst-lbt-with-pictures/
  20. This was mentioned on a post so I thought I'd bring it up. I have a highest weight of 298,,which was in November of 2011. i lost 9 pounds between then and my preop diet which brought me down to 289. I lost 16 pounds on my preop diet which took me down to 273 but then a week after surgery,,I got that leak..and during tpn I gained 13 pounds. When I went off of tpn I lost the 13 pounds again and an additional 27.2 pounds which brings me down to my current weight of 245.8. So where should I begin??,,this may seem petty but since I readjusted my ticker to reflect my preop diet weight,,I'm really missing those 9 pounds that I worked hard to get off..it was the first time I had really tried to get going on this whole journey. Just something I'm pondering on and wondering what others think.

    What's My Start Weight?

Well ok then!lol I made the change and am very happy about it I made sure to state it is my highest weight. Someone had mentioned about newbies getting the wrong idea about start weights and such..and it made sense. I don't want to try and cheat my weight..that serves no purpose.
