    Fat Girl Moments....#FatGirlMoments

Boy have we all not been there done that! lol It felt good at the moment to eat those things though huh? But gee the guilt afterwards is just aweful. Then to have to deal with the scale. You have to ask yourself - gee is it really worth going through all that for? I fell off the band wagon so to speak just not too long ago. I am back on it now though. What a rude awakening. Ha ha. Why does life have to be such a struggle all the time?
  4. HELLO JANUARY BANDERS. I WAS JUST WONDERING HOW YOU ALL WERE DOING AND WHAT PROGRESS YOU ALL HAVE MADE. I WAS BANDED 1/17 AND I AM DOWN 40 LBS. I HAVE HAD ONE FILL SO FAR OF 1/2 CC AND I HOPE TO GET ANOTHER FILL NEXT WK AT MY MONTHLY CHECKUP WITH THE SURGEON.
  5. roseyposey

    How do you know??

4 cc is alot for a first fill. I only got 1/2 cc for my first fill. I have a 10 cc band as well. It is best to take it slow. If you overfill, you will have problems it seems. I am hoping to get another fill in a week. It has been a month waiting for it though. I guess it will be 1 cc this time. Not sure, but my surgeon seems to be very conservative. Good luck.

Maybe you should go to the Emergency Room and get it checked out? They can check it out via xray?

    Bandsters with Fibromyalgia

HI Jenna! Was just checking in on you to see how you were doing with your lapband and FB. I have been having alot of FB pain since starting to exercise and walking. I take the Lyrica which I know puts on wt. but I tried to get off it but the pain was too bad. I AM getting discouraged as I thought by losing wt. it would get better not worse. Any suggestions? MY pain runs down the back of my right leg to my ankle.

    Bandsters with Fibromyalgia

Hi Blair! I was just checking in on you to see how you were doing with your lapband and your FB. I have been having severe FB pain since starting to exercise and walking. I am discouraged as I thought it would get better as I lost wt. not worse. YOu mentioned cutting out carbs. What specific foods did you cut out? I still take Lyrica. I know it makes you gain wt. but I tried to quit it but the pain was just too bad. Any advice?

    Bandsters with Fibromyalgia

HI Lacey! Was just checking in on you to see how you were doing with your band and FB. I also have it and it seems to be getting worse. I dont know if its because of me exercising and taking walks or what? But the pain is just aweful. It runs down the back of my right leg to my heal. It is very discouraging. I thought as I lost wt. this would get better not worse?

ADDING PROTEIN = MORE WT. LOSS

I JUST RECEIVED A TIP THAT IF YOU ADD PROTEIN TO YOUR MEALS YOU WILL INDEED LOSE MORE WT. AND FEEL FULLER! NOW THIS CAN MEAN ADDING 1/2 SCOOP OF PROTEIN POWDER TO YOUR MEALS SUCH AS DRINKS, SOUPS, OR FOOD, OR SPRINKLING LOW FAT SHREDDED CHEESE ON YOUR EGGS OR SALADS OR FISH OR CHICKEN, OR SPRINKLING SEEDS OR NUTS (CRUSHED) ON YOUR FOODS, TRY TO EAT ONLY POULTRY (CHICKEN) SEAFOOD, FISH OF ALL KINDS, SHRIMP, CANNED TUNA, SALMON AND AVOID PORK AND BEEF. THE MORE PROTEIN YOU EAT THE FULLER YOU WILL FEEL AND THE LESS YOU WILL EAT!!!! USE OLIVE OIL AND AVOID ALL TRANS FATS. (READ A LINK ALSO THAT SAYS USING TRANS FATS CAUSES DEPRESSION - A LARGE STUDY WAS DONE ON THIS). EAT LOTS OF EGGS WHETHER THEY ARE BOILED, SCRAMBLED OR WHATEVER. TRY STARTING OUT YOUR MEAL WITH A CUP OF SOUP FIRST, AS IT GIVES YOUR LAPBAND A JUMPSTART AND KINDA REVITALIZES YOU. THEN PROCEED WITH YOUR MEAL. YOU WILL EAT LESS. ALSO - WHEN YOUR BAND GIVES YOU THAT "WARNING" - KINDA LIKE OK YOU ATE ENOUGH FEELING ( A LITTLE BIT OF DISCOMFORT OR REGURGITATION) THEN STOP EATING!!!!! WELL - I FOR ONE - WILL HEED THIS TIP AND SEE IF IT WORKS FOR ME! GOOD LUCK FELLOW BANDERS!!!!

I am sure it definitely helped with your apprehensive about it. Good luck on your journey and it definitely is do - able!
