where can I find liquid vitamins, iron, and calcium?

Hello, I was banded Dec. 29th at Rush Hospital. Today is my 5th day post-op and feel good. I was supposed to go back to work today as I like other bandsters am a teacher and classes resumed today. I decided to go back to work Thursday to let my body heal. I steped on the scale today and saw 20 pounds less from when I started my liquid diet. I'm happy and very positive that this will work for me. Anyone who was banded at Rush Hospital Chicago?

You are not alone! I was banded on Dec. 29th and I felt the hunger pain the second day after the surgery. I've been drinking camomille tea, home made chicken broth (my mom put a lot of vegetables for nutrition purpuses) proteing shake three times a day and jello. The chicken broth has helped a lot is just like water but it calms the hunger pain. I even felt the saliva coming up my mouth as if I had never eaten before. Day four will be much better for you.

I was banded Wednesday and YES I feel the hunger pain. It is like a burning pain inside the stomach. I also hear a lot of rumbling going on. I started with proteing shakes and will follow honk's plan. I will eat every hour and will alternate between protein shake and broth. I really enjoy this forum because I can see that I am not alone in this journey.

I was banded on the 29th and stayed in the hospital until last night. The pain gets better when I walk around but as soon sit or lay down its hard to start all over again. I am feeling hunger pains and a lot of rummbling in my stomach. feels like some acid reflux is coming up my throat. I am eating jello and home-made chicken broth. I just need for this week to be over so that I can feel better.

I went throuhg the same thing during my two week liquid diet. I cried while I was driving, I cried while I was doing dishes, I cried and cried all the time. I think that it had to do with the fact that I wasn't getting any comfort from my good old friend food and I was dealing with my emotions in a different way. Hang in there and you'll be fine. I was banded today and feel great.

Finally the day of my surgery is here 12-29-10 but I have been having mixed feelings about the surgery. I want to loose weight, I want to feel healthy but I feel scared and afraid that something bad is going to happen. I was originally schedule to have my surgery on Dec. 15th. I went to the hopital and was ready to go in but I started coughing and the anestisiologist canceled my surgery and sent me home to recover from the cold I had. Since then I feel like being in a roller coster with my emotions and descisions. I've been reading about all the complications and all the side-effects and it just made me think twice about the surgery. I need some advice on what to do. I can't postpone my surgery becasue after Dec. 31 my insurance will no longer work with my current hospital and doctors. HELP!!!! Is it really worth it to got throgh the pain and complications? Does the lap-band really work or should I try one more time on my own????

It has been a long and hard day today. I feel like crying and crying. I'm getting my things ready for tomorrow as I was told I am going to spend the night at the hospital. My house seems to be a mess I have things all over the place as if Im packing for a long vacation. I decided not to answer my phone becasue I don't want anyone to discourage me from doing this. It's hard but I know I will make it through!

Thank you for all your kind and warm words. I just received a called from the hosptital to confirm my surgery. It will be tomorrow at 1:30pm and after hanging up with the receptionist I went to my husband to tell him that I wasn't showing up for it. After reading your posts I have regained my confidence and thanks to your kind words I will go over to the other side. I keep you informed on the outcome and please pray for me as I am encountering fear and it does not feel good. Thanks!!!!!

It helps to know that we are not alone. I get banded on tomorrow and let me tell you that I'm scared of what might happend. Lets just focus on the positive things that will happend to us and set our eyes on the results we are going to get from this.
