Congrats! You are an inspiration to me. I had my lap band put in dec of 2010 and get pregnant right after. I had a son in October and I am only now beginning my lap band journey. You have given me something to look forward to, thank you!

Hey everyone i was banded on 12/20 and i have had 2 fills, i am up to 4cc of a 10cc band... I haven't lost that much weight since my pre surgery weigh in maybe like 4lbs... I'm curious as to what i am doing wrong i really would like to lose the weight faster than i am... Today i ate too fast or didn't chew enough and for the first time i got a really back block and has to throw up... i assume that means i am filled enough but when i am not blocked i can eat wayyyyyyy more then a cup worth of food... (by the way it was eggs that made me throw up)... so does anyone have suggestions or can tell me what i can do to make this work better for me and why did soup cause me to get sick when last night a honey wheat pretzel stick did not... i really am trying to be good and its really hard but im losing my motivations because the numbers on the scale aren't moving... before my pre surgery diet i was 308 and now i am 288 but the scale hasn't moved in a few weeks ughhhhh!!!! my face looks skinner but nothing else does... any info would really help i know im babbling at this point im just sad... i really don't want to become a case where i fail with the lapband.... Thanks everyone

Why don't you explain this to your surgeon and get another fill? Obviously you haven't hit the proper restriction yet so keeping going slowly until you do... Good luck and post how it turns out

I have a massive headache and I have no idea what pills I can take what is small enough to pass? Any suggestions would be great thanks all!!!

Papaya enzyme is a chewable pill that starts the breakdown of food when it reaches it... It aids in digestion and my dr. Has it on a list of things to get rid of a blockage.

I ended up breaking two motrin pills in half an swallowing them peice by peice... Thank you for the replies everyone... I was banded on decemeber 20th and because I have healed so fast and felt so good I was able to convince my dr to do my first fill at my first post op appt... I don't really feel any restriction I do get full faster but I feel like I'm still getting hungry quickly... I haven't has a blocked episode yet but that may be because I'm so scared that anytime I eat anything hard I almost immediately take papaya enzyme

Hey everyone this is my first post!!! I was banded on 12/20/10 I am down 20lbs from my pre op weight so far I'm happy with the results my clothes are even starting to loosen up... I am having problems sleeping myself and one of the incisions is slightly painful still... Is anyone experiencing the most horrorable gas pains ever??? My shoulder is killing me!!! My stomach is non stop gurgling!!! Anyway hope everyone is doing well and keep going strong!!!
