HELP!! Anyone have any info on 'fleur de lys' abdominoplasty?
vshape replied to 19Trudy68's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I am a male and had this as I lost around 9 stones and it was definately needed otherwise my new belly button would still have sagged. It is now over 6 months post op and the scars are starting to fade. I guess for a guy the scars, especially the vertical one are not as much of an issue as they can look 'macho'. I do think it's best to lose as much weight as possible before having a tummy tuck as it is likely to sag if you lose anymore weight post op. -
Poll: Nipple sensation after breast lift
vshape replied to SkinnyKathy's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I had gynaecomastia 4 weeks ago and the ps said i may lose sensation around the nipples. At the moment it is a little numb, but I can feel something. Like all plastic surgery you cannot guarantee anything, but is it really a major loss in context? -
I had something similarish in June and am happy the scars are now starting to fade. Remember to give it time and be patient.

Panniculectomy is it as painful to get as it is to pronounce?
vshape replied to btrieger's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Is a panniculectomy like an anchor or fleur de lys tummy tuck? -
Just take it slow and wear your compression garment at all times. At the same time don't be too lazy after a few days and get that blood circulating. Don't go exercising though!

Hi guys, my name's Vishal and I live in the UK and I guess I should start with why I am here. Basically I lost around 9 stones between 2007 and 2008 and had 2 cosmetic procedures carried out on me this year. First, in June I had a Fleur De Lys Abdomnoplasty procedure and then 3 weeks ago I had Bilateral Gynaecomastia to sort out my chest area. It has been a long journey for me and I feel that now is the time to help other people and give people advice with what is involved in both procedures. I recently created a blog, which I will be updating throughout the course of the next few weeks and months to give as much advice as I can about weight loss, dieting and ofcourse post weight loss surgery. I have learnt a lot about the problems post weight loss and what issues that may arise when surgery is to be carried out. If anyone has any questions then please ask. I also have my blog to share which is www.vshape.posterous.com and it details a lot of what I have gone through in my past and I hope it gives people in a similar situation the help that they both need and deserve. Thanks.
