Hello Trish, I went to the informational meeting in May of 2006 but I had been seriously considering the operation since Nov of 05. I had my initital meeting with Dr. Aranow in June of 2006. I also went to the dietian soon after. I completed all of the requirements over the summer and had my operation in September. I saw him and the dietian for a follow up at about 2 weeks out. I had my first fill the first week of December and another last week. I will see Dr. Aranow and Liz (the dietian) in two months. Dr. Aranow is great! I've lost 40 lbs since Sept. I was banded by Dr. Aranow out of Middlesex Hospital in September of 2006. I was banded on a Friday and went back to work on Monday. I wouldn't recommend going back to work so soon. Good luck! The best is yet to come.
