    Lapband Haters

I get so tired of all the bandbashing that is going on. I am happy with my choice with the band. Every surgery has its benefits and risks. You have to decide which surgery is best for you. I am a proud bandster and will defend my decision. There are programs that don't have proper followup after surgery. That is what gives the band a bad name. I wish everyone the best of luck in their journey. Mona

Just got banded and i'm scared.

Hi, I agree with the others. I have had my band 12 years. I have no regrets with it. It hasn't been easy at times. There are days when I questioned my decision but all in all I am grateful for the band. It is like a gift that was given to me. I finally am full after eating a small meal. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Take a picture of yourselves. Keep taking pictures every month. Look at the changes. That is what keeps you motivated. It helps you to focus on what you are trying to achieve. I have been able to maintain my weight loss for 10years. You can do it too. Mona

Hi, you need to go back to the basics. What are your surgeons rules? Eat Protein fruit and veggies. Are you eating slowly? Are you putting your fork down between bites? Eating off of a salad plate? Are you drinking fluids 10 calories or less between meals? Do you only eat when you are hungry? Get a copy of your surgeons rules. If you are pbing often either you are too tight or eating too fast or too big of bites. Let me know how you are doing. Mona
  4. Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum. I had my band done in 2002. I want to help and learn from you. Where are all the bandsters in Nebraska? Mona
