    CAN'T WAIT TO LOSE MY....

I can't wait to lose my thighs....I would love to go hiking, take long walks without getting tired and perform flexible (adult) positions for my husband. In efforts to improve my most irritable problem area (thighs) I plan to purchase an elyptical very soon.... My thighs have been my problem area my entire life. I currently wear a medium or size 6 top but a 18 bottom. I understand that I can't just depend on the lap band, I've gotta provide remedy.

    Third Fill and no restriction!!

Hi, Are you communicating this information to your surgeon? Please don't get frustrated with the band as it a process that will take time and determination. Many surgeons do not hesitate to increase the fill of the band. So stay strong and continue to receive fills until you have a restriction. I saw my surgeon three times in 1 month until I got the appropriate fill 7.5 ml. Since then I am never hungry and can see a difference in my body daily. Good Luck

    new!!

Hi Jess, Welcome to the Lap Band Talk Community. While using this site, I have found much valuable information that is steady aiding me in my lap band journey. Since you are only 1 day post op you should get as much rest as possible and FOLLOW YOUR SURGEON'S INSTRUCTIONS. I have followed my own advice and am now down 40 lbs since banded on Dec 17th. Take care

    Banded December 17th--So Uncomfortable

Yes I last spoke to my Dr yesterday before being discharged from the hospital. I was feeling better yesterday as I was full of morphine that was provided through IV. However today, the pain is back and I am unsure of how to deal with it. In a few I will contact my lap band advocate for support. Thanks

    December Bandsters (Early Xmas present)

Hello everyone, I was banded December 17th. Before getting the surgery I was sooo excited. I knew that I would not be able to eat my favorite foods or drink for Christmas and New Years. But now, 3 days post op I feel horrible. My birthday is tomorrow and all I can say is "THIS WILL DEFINATELY BE ONE TO REMEMBER". I cant wait until the day that I am able to drink or eat something other than broth (YUCK). Better days to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starting weight 278 (reduced after 2 week liquid diet) Current weight-251 (3 days Post Op)
  9. Hello, I was banded on Dec 17th and went home that same day. However the next day I returned to the ER due to horrible pain. After an overnight stay in the hospital, I am back home and still feeling very uncomfortable. I am only able to sip 2 to 4 oz of broth or other liquidy substance within a 2 hour period. In addition, I am experiencing soreness of the incision areas, painfully bloated stomach, severe back pain, gas pains, overly full feeling and feeling of hunger. I am totally confused since I am always uncomfortable and walking only relieves the pain for a short period. If there are any recent lapband patients that have advice or tools to control such issues please respond. Thank you
