I am in desperate need of some help, guidance, opinions... ANYTHING! I was banded 2/16/11. It's been an up and down adventure. I have been noticing my hormones going crazy! My fiance just had a talk with me about our intimacy... there pretty much is none. We are a young and very much in love couple... everything is perfect, except what I'm lacking in the bedroom. I never have any type of sex drive at all. I don't know if this is normal, if I need to see a physician or what. I thougt that when you lose weight you're supposed to feel more sexy and attractive which would cause you to want to have sex. I need some help! My poor fiance does not deserve this! <3<3 Thank you All! -Ronni

Can You Tell Me Your Favorite Meals!!!
ShrnkN2 replied to kr8160311's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats for off..... I'm a year post op, to be exact, today is my 1 yr bandiversary!! :-D I'm only down 60 lbs but my life couldn't be better!! I have a couple favorites. There are many things I can not eat at all anymore. Bread is very hard... wraps, steak any dry meats, those are all rough. I don't know if you have a Sam's Club in your area but I always get the Parmesean Crusted Tilapia already made. It's almost 30 grams of protein per filet. YUMMY! Another favorite is Tablouli. Most people don't know what that is but it's absolutley delicious and sooo healthy! Just aski for it in any grocery store. Anything in a crockpot.. that all goes down east it seems. Soups, just watch the sodium content. I aim for under 1000 mg a day. For snacks I'll eat turkey perperoni w low fat or fat free cheese and triscuits. My absolute fav for snacking, which I never seem to get tired of is sliced strawberries and bananas with low fat or fat free whipped cream. you can also throw in some bluberries, grapes, rasberries... ect. Just be careful with fruits that have skin on them. (blueberries, peaches...) Just an FYI, it will take you a while to be able to feel restriction. It took me a good 3 or 4 fills to really be able to feel anything. Heck, I'm a yr out and I still havnt reached that sweet spot. However long youre on a liquid diet remember to stay strong. That was so mentally tough for me. Stay strong and don't give up. Lap Band is not the answer to becoming skinny.. it's a change of life. You will reroute your entire life to becoming healthy! Good Luck and remember, we are your banded family! <3 Lots of Love and Prayers! -Ronni P.S sorry for the novel! just told you what i wish i knew back then. -
From the album: Almost 1 year post op! 60lbs down

Hey all! I was banded on February 16th of last year. The past couple of months I've gotten very discouraged. I feel ashamed. I feel like I could be doing so much better than I have been. I've lost 60lbs and yes that's a lot.. but I feel like I couldv'e done that on my own. I am having regrets. Is getting stuck all the time, having a rock like object in my stomach, feeling ashamed that I had to have WLS inorder to be able to lose weight? I feel like it's just discouraging when I see all these people that are losing 100+ lbs and locing life. Congratulations to all those who are succeeding.. but I feel like there's something wrong here. I'm so depressed with my results. I recently got a fill, probably my 6th or 7th one and now I am altering my entire diet again because there seems to be way more things that I can't eat now. I eat very healthy but feel like I need a change. With this latest fill I am very limited now. I need suggestions from all my fellow AMAZING bandsters... I need quidance, I need suggestions and more than anything.. I need to know I didn't make a mistake. I sometimes wish I got the gastric sleeve. Thanks All... Much Love, Ronni

So.. I'm having issues! I'm down about 50 lbs but I don't see it. I know I've lost but my brain is tricking me. What can I do to make my brain see the 250 Ronni and not the 300 Ronni. I need a mental talk... agh! <3 Ronni

ShrnkN2 replied to TurboDriver's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Going to the Dr. tomorrow for a slight un-fill
ShrnkN2 replied to 54Shirley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i also went through that. I got my 4th fill in june. went a full month vomiting and fighting to comsume 500 calories a day. It's dangerous to be too tight and not get an unfill. You can slip. i know it sucks... now, since i got my unfill ( a full cc) 3 weeks ago, i feel i can eat the whole world. i dont get full and i could down 2 burgers if i wanted to. Hitting that sweet spot takes time! im going back thursday for a lil more. hopefully this will be the spot good luck with your journey and remeber we are all here for support! xoxo -Ronni -
