  1. Sorry but your Dr is NOT trying to make you stumble, he said you were doing great and he wouldnt make a change unless you did, now you can go ahead and sabotage yourself for a "fill" you clearly DO NOT NEED, or you can continue your SUCCESSFUL PATH and enjoy the ride. Your choice!! Also I do not understand the "confusion part" did you research lapBand before you did it? How can you be confused of the process and how can you distrust your DR who other than not caving to your "want" has done everything according to the plan!! YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK!!! Have a great Holiday
  2. Had my 1 week post op appt today, doc say things are looking good and my experiences are pretty much normal so far. Set the first fill appt for Jan 20th. She also said I could move onto purred foods/mushies I am down 10# by my home scale, and down 7 # by the Dr's from surgery day, but i do know the last couple days I have really struggled to get in my protein and fluids, today i am feeling like I have a cold...SO onward we go, so far so good!! Merry Xmas everyone!!
  3. I have to agree with most here, you can be eating to little of calories and your body could be reacting to that, if you are exercising regular I would try upping the caloric intake a few hundred.
  4. I'm in Wichita, banded Dec 17th at WLSC in overland park.
  5. The Atkins approach is healthy, proven by studies, however like any other plan can be done incorrectly very easily!
  6. The only "tests" I had to have were the pre op bloodwork and a EKG, its so the anisteologist can release you as safe for surgery, now prior to that you will be given the usual Q&A about your general health and habits, they will take your measurements and generally get a feel for whats happening and what you may need to do before surgery, many times people are asked to go on some sort of diet to lose a few pounds to show commitment and such. It all starts with making the appt, DO IT, you cant know if you dont go!!! Good Luck

    Not pooping??

Same here, banded on the 17th, I think it's normal since I'm on liquids only, still urinating on scheldule
  8. Banded Dec 17, feel pretty good but have lots of gas/bloating feeling, otherwise feel good. I was told 72 hr to shower? I will be starting the fuller liquid diet tomorrow, haven't weighed and don't plan to for a week or so.
  9. Well today is the day. I came across my first banded person about 7 years ago, it was inspirational then and you all are as well. What can I say I've tried it all, lost and gained, the turning point for me to finally do this happened Nov 22, 2010 the birth of my first grandchild! I want to see him grow up! I want to be able to run, ride and play with him. So it begins.............
  10. Yes, they sent the pre letter, and I was "morbidly obese". Took about 3 weeks for approval.
  11. I have UHC and was approved on that reason
  12. I am being banded this coming Friday,12/17/2010. I am beginning to get really nervous about it. I don't have to be back at work until the 4th of Jan, hoping this is enough time to get past the initial discomfort. I suppose I'm like most of you, some success in the past followed by the yoyo ups and downs. I am presently the heaviest I have ever been. 310#. I have a very supporting wife so that will help, but I know it's about my choices. I will follow up next week after the surgery.
