I'm so nervous.. I called my rep @ WLSC she resubmitted my paperwork now all I have to do it wait.

I have to say the good thing about that is I can be on my mother insurance which of course is better then the company I work for. I mean I'm saving my own money because my company makes me pay for my own insurance & it doesnt effect my mother because her company provides their insurance for free.. but it's better, saving me money & I don't have to be in college & can stay insured up until my 26th birthday. Some of the bill does really help.

wish I could be more of help but I havent even started that part.. have you tired adding like banana or fruit?

We are limited on what we can eat, we are limited on how much we eat. It's a tool to help overweight people who have a problem over eating & losing weight. It's not a cure by no means but a tool. I see it as something to help me get back on track. Just like a paid of shoes.. they help protect your feet from the weather. The band is helping to protect you don't over eat & you eat healthier choices. In society now we don't eat to maintain our body we eat because we can. We eat so many unhealthy thing because it's fast or easy. They teach you at a very young age to eat within 15-20 min at school to eat a lunch when you should take more like 45-60 min to eat a small well portion meal. You can't lose weight by starving yourself because then when you do eat it store all the fat because your body knows your straving it self with the band it's just a tool. I hope that helps it how I explain to people who ask me. I'm not getting the band because I think it s a quick fit or a cure but it's a tool to retrain my body to eat slow, eat healthier & to eat when my body needs it instead of every min of the day.

I havent been banded yet but I can't wait. I'm not doing this for anyone else but me. I need HELP to lose this weight & the band is going to help me like nothing else has. I have had 2 aunts and 1 uncle also do the lap band.. my uncle is the only one who regrets it because he was not ready to lose weight.. so he hasnt had a fill and eat like he used too... my two aunts have lost a great amount of work & one even had a baby. Don't think about if you might regret it.. because you wont the only thing you will regret is not having it done sooner.<3

I took the same 16 page test.. I just took it to the best of my ability. The reason they ask the same question 3 different ways to make sure your consistent. I was upset that they didnt even asked me 1 question about why I'm doing the wls or how i think it will change me or what I expect. I was shocked. I took the stupid test to make sure I'm not hearing voices and I dont plan to kill anyone lol. Although I havent been approved yet and my insurance changed on the 1st, with my new insurance I wouldnt have had to do any of those silly test.

So I'm still waiting to get approved all my paperwork was sent on the 22nd. I'm scared though because my Insurance runs out on the 31st but then my parents are covering me.. since I'm not 26( only 22) yet I get free insurance under my parents. Its the same BCBS but it's a tad bit different but while I'm in limbo they have me two different packets one for the Lap-Band & one for the Realize band? I was looking over the paperwork and can't tell what is the difference.. and also what did you choose? Where you given a option? Why did you pick on or the other.. what is the difference?

My insurance wanted nutritionist & psych exams then wanted the last 5 years of my weight... I started the process in may and really drug my feet and did all my test in Dec.. All my paperwork was turn in on the 22nd & I'm still waiting.. the only issue I have is my insurance changed on the 1st so most likely I will have to do all this over again.

I'm currently waiting for my approval.. I really drug my feet for 6 months then got all the stuff I needed done this week and on Wednesday the sent the final paper work so now I wait.. Only thing I'm scared about it I might have to wait longer because my insurance changed on Jan 1. :-(
