    Finally!

Let me start by saying that I hate exercising. I hate sweating, I hate feeling sore, and I hate being out of breath. I was so frustrated the past month and a half because 3 weeks after surgery, I stopped losing weight. I was bouncing back and forth between 281-286. Nothing worked. I was counting calories and making sure I ate enough, eating tons of Protein, and walking but NOTHING! I finally found what works. I'm watching what I eat more carefully, and finally I've found an exercise program that works. I get bored easily and was thrilled that my mom bought me Just Dance 2 for the Wii for Christmas. I do about 6 dances every morning. I also started the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Anderson, and I'm using a recumbent bike for 30 minutes a day on programs that change up the resistance. I was 289 at my last fill a on Dec 28th, and today I'm 279. I'm so excited about the band again. I've been so negative, that I thought I'd post a positive here. There IS hope!

    Sex after lap band???

I'm a quick healer with an insanely high pain threshold. I didn't even need pain meds after day 2 post-surgery. The only thing that hurt during sex was if weight was put on the port area. Other than that, it was fair game.

    Sex after lap band???

I started having sex again 4 days after surgery (too soon, I know) but I've never had an issue with anything being uncomfortable. Your best bet is to try it out and see what works for you.

    Pouch Test

This may be a stupid question, but I'm wondering if beans would fit in with the soft protein days or the firm ones. Anyone know?

    Snack Ideas?

My latest favorite snack (or breakfast) is a 1/4 cup of fat free cottage cheese with a teaspoon of sugar-free cherry pie filling. There's only 35 calories per 1/3 cup of the pie filling, so it's a great way to flavor the cottage cheese.
  6. I was banded on Oct 4. I had my first fill in November. I won't be having a fill in December because my insurance won't kick in again until January. I have 4cc in a 10cc band. I haven't lost any weight since 2 weeks after surgery. I was 314 when I started the 2 week pre-op diet. I was 299 the day of surgery. 2 weeks later, I was 284. I follow the diet to a T. I eat lots of protein, take all my vitamins, exercise daily. I'm not losing any weight or any inches. Every single day on the scale varies from 282-285. I started the protein shakes 3 times a day yesterday and what do you know.. I'm down to 281. This is so frustrating. In order to lose any weight, I'm going to be on protein shakes all the time? This isn't what I signed up for!
  7. Thank you! I'm trying so hard not to get discouraged. I'm just not losing in any way for quite some time now. I'm going back to shakes for awhile to see if my weight loss just needs a shock/jump start.
  8. I tried around 800 calories. Then I upped to 1200-1500. My protein intake is 68-80 grams a day. I'm walking for 30 minutes a day and doing Zumba for an hour as well.
