Good Afternoon:
I'm new to this group and looking forward to receiving support from those who have BTDT. I am doing my pre-op appts. at the moment and hoping to have the surgery sometime in January or early February the latest. I'm nervous and scared and every other emotion in between. I know this surgery is a tool for weight loss and the rest is up to me. I'm scared of failing and not achieving the goals that I have in mind. I felt so ready to do this until I started reading the negatives. I know there will always be a negative side to everything, but of course, I only want to hear the positives at this point. I am excited to learn that a fellow christian friend just had the surgery a week ago and we attend the same church. This excites me and I believe God put her in my path for a reason. I had a buddy who was going to do this with me and even attended the informational seminar with me, but she has yet to return any of my phone calls or emails since. I completely respect her decision if she has changed her mind, but it would be nice to know that. Anyway, I'm excited that I have Christen and that we will be LapBand Buddies.
I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you on this forum. Thank you for allowing me to join.
