The authors of Teenage Waistland, a new YA novel published last month by Random House about a group of teens who meet at a fictional lap-band surgery clinical trial, are interested in hearing about the experiences of teens who have actually had lap-band surgery. (Or adults who had lap-band surgery when they were teens.) Several media outlets who'd like to do a segment on the book have asked that we appear with a teen who has actually had the surgery. It doesn't matter whether or not the surgery was a success (the novel's quite controversial on the topic on teen surgery anyway)!
