Please could someone email me that's had the band removed and had another procedure. I have a hard time reply to all these topics. thans magdalene.dunaway@aol.com I have had my band for 11 months and have not lost any weight. I lost more before the band than after. In fact I have gained 10 lbs since banded.

I sure wished I had read all of these posting before I got my lap band. I have had mine for 11 months now and I haven't lost any weight. Back in Aug. I got my fill in the hospital so the Dr. could watch everything go down and said everything was fine and in place. Today of all things, to get stuck was grits. I am still too afraid to even drink a swallow of Water. My stomach burns.... I'm scared.... Wished I had never had the lap band, and now scared to go have it remove and have another procedure. Enought about me... How's your RNY and would you recommend it.

What great news. I was banded on 12/10 and lost 13 lbs. on my first visit back to surgeon. I go Jan. 19 for my first fill and I can only pray, he will post pone it..... congratuations.

I had my band also on Friday Dec. 10. And No I am not the least bit hungry. My problem is I have gas pressure pains. Everything I drink, gives me gas. It will cause my chest, shoulders, neck and my head to hurt really really bad. Walking does not do any good. When I can't stand the pain any longer I take pain meds and lay down and go to sleep. Also when I drink anything, it hurts my stomach. Am not sick feeling, am not hungry. Also, I can feel my band. I feel it on the inside, not pressing with my hand on the outside. I feel it almost always. About your hungry, try eating some yogert. Good luck Grandie

I also got banded on Dec 10. The most pain I have felt is gas. Around my chest, shoulders and up to the top of my head..... The doctors ofc. just says to walk more. I'm walking as much as I can and it's not doing a bit of good. Just can NOT release this gas........ Have Not felt sick at all , which is a good thing. Also am not the least bit hungry. Can somebody out there help me on this air pressure I'm having?

I just had my lap band yesterday morning... Today my back hurts... Does anyone know why, also woke up with bad headache.

Thanks for sharing with me... Pain reliever didn't help. Gonna try walking and see if maybe its gas. Hopefully it will be gone in a few days....
