  3. And why is that fatand? I was reading in another thread that some doctors think it is ok as long as it isnt causing you discomfort. Its not like im chugging 2 liter bottles. I may have 1 a day if any.... I just didnt know what your reasoning was behind "problems"

    Dec bandester

I was banded on Dec 14th 06 and have lost about 60 pounds. But recently I have really fallen off the band wagon as far as watching what I eat and exercising. I am a junior in college and when I was at school usually had time to go to the gym for an hr/ hr 1/2. And since our food was crappy I didnt really have to worry about overeating! But now that Im home I work 11 hour days, and have 4 hours once I'm home to cook clean and spend time with my fiance. So... it kind of leaves me in a rut and I'm starting to get depressed about my slowing loss.... Maybe its just the 6 month thing...we all seem to be a little down these days...
  5. Ok so heres the thing... I don't drink large amounts when I eat, but sometimes if I have a little too much and want to pain to go away I take a sip of water and it usually helps. But I have fallen victim to sodas. I love the new Cherry Coke Zero. I dont usually drink a soda when Im eating bc it is uncomfortable, but when its just by itself it doesnt make me feel bloated or anything. Can that still be hurting my stomach like that guy who took his friend to mexico and saw his esophagus was all expanded and bumpy? (frightened)

I think i ate to much- HELP!!!

I also have the issue of overeating! I am 2 months post-op well into solid foods and I just can't stop eating! I know I eat to fast but in a college environment we eat on the go a lot! I still never feel "full" or like I am going to explode and it really bothers me because that feeling is what will make me stop... but since I don't feel it I keep shoveling it in! AHH!!

Highly offended by the ladies of "The View"

Sure they are allowed to have their opinion, but an uneducated opinion is what erked me in the first place! It wasn't so much that they said it, it was the way it was said, and the way that is was emphasized by both Rosie and Joy. Mindy-- I too find that I make comments to myself about people who are overweight etc even though I was once in their shoes... it just goes to show that no one is perfect!

    Getting hungry after fill

Well Im glad Im not the only one out there with these problems. I go for my first fill this Friday and currently I can eat a whole lot-a food. I feel really bad, like I am sabatoging everything I have gone through. I hope I feel some restriction with this fill because heaven help me if I stretch this pouch out too much!
  11. Hello All, I am 4 weeks post-op and in the pureed food stage. Because I am a college student, pureed is a little difficult because we don't have blenders in the cafeteria. So I just chew my food really really well or use a baby food mill. Anyway, I feel like I am eating too much. At this stage I thought I was only supposed to be eating 1/4 of a cup, well let me tell you I am eating like 3/4 - 1 cup. And I never feel full!! I feel like I could eat everyone elses dinner on top of mine! I have not had a fill yet, that is in two weeks, so is this normal? I read on the "fill" thread that people were eating whole pieces of pizza, and all kinds of other foods on the day before their fill. Am I hurting my pouch or stretching it?? Please help! :help:

Highly offended by the ladies of "The View"

Thanks to everyone who responded! I'm glad I am not the only one upset about this!! Did anyone happen to watch these past few days to see if they said anything about our comments? Just wondering! Can someone please tell me what PB or PBing is? Thanks
  13. Hello All, I was watching the View today and Rosie and Joy were doing a segment on women who had lost a lot of weight by diet & exercise. I thought "Good for them!" they did it; but I was offended when Rosie and Joy kept making comments about surgery being "the easy way out" (actual quote from Joy). I know that a lot of people think this but its just wrong. Those of us who had surgery go through so much! Not only do we endure the diet and exercise that they do, but we go through the pain and recovery of surgery. I thought "how dare they assume its easy!" I actually sent an email to the ladies explaining my thoughts, and I am eagerly awaiting their reply! How do the rest of you feel about this? :biggrin1:

Cheating? Is it worth the risk?

Well thanks to all of you who resonded and made me feel like a complete failure! Yet again! Its not the will power I have a problem with, or healthy foods for that matter, its boredom with the same liquid foods day in and day out... I was merely looking for a new flavor. And I didnt put myself through this to cheat... I plan on doing well for myself in the future, but when you can't drive for 2 weeks and your stuck drinking isopure and banana protein shakes its bound to get a little hectic. Thanks for everything. bkwalling: thanks for understading.
  15. Hello All, I am relatively new to this whole forum thing, but I thought I'd give it a try. I was banded on 12/14/06, and have had the hardest time resisting solid foods! It started with an innocent cheez-it which I suck and nibbled til it was basically paste.. this lead to other things such as flake meat (chicken) and then the smallest nibble of fudge (heck it was Christmas after all). Someone on here had also cheated in their first weeks and felt like a failure... I don't really feel that way, and its not like I am over doing it... just a nibble here and there maybe once a day. How will I know if I have done damage to my band? I see the doctor this Friday 12/29, should I tell her I cheated? Ugh... so frustrating! :help:
