I am about 4m post. never had any problems with any food. So today I was eating a snack and a drink and it wasn't going down easy, so i just bump my cheat a bit and that usually works, but it didn't and was getting worse. Mouth was salivating like I was getting ready to hurl. So i ran to the bathroom. I spit out the excess saliva and noticed some blood. I never threw up. Had some small burps that help clear it up. Everything was fine and didn't think aboutt he blood. Well early tonite I had some gatorade. I went to bend over to fill the dishwasher and the gatorade started coming up so I leaned to the sink and spit and noticed blood again. I spit a couple more times and still blood. It is all bright red. I read some thread on here that said it might be a vein and would heal itself over a few days. I don't know what to do. I am not living in the state I got the surgery done anymore. I don't have insurance right now cause I just started a new job and don't have money to go to a Dr. Should I be concerned? Also, my band has no fill and I have the regular not the large one. I did have 1cc, but he removed it cause it hurt to swallow anything. Thanks, D

1 week today was banded. I ate a 3 musketeers and a peach. all went down fine. I have no fill currently. I want to go to Wendy's for chilli or taco bell or something. These shakes are killing me and to know I have to go another 3 weeks kills me even more. Just curious if anyone else has "cheated"? Derek

I was told I could never take pills ever again. after reading some other posts I tried anyway. I took my regular time released welbutrin last night and it went down fine. took it again this morning along with my lexapro cut in half instead of quarters. all fine. So this should get me back on track. My big problem is that I am not creative when it comes to the kitchen. So i get bored really easily. I am also very picky eater. I have seen lots of recipes and tried some and others don't appeal to me. I like having something to follow. A plan of what I should eat. Not, "just have 3 shakes a day". need to know how to "mix it up" so to speak so I don't get bored and frustrated. I have been eating lots of tomato Soup cause i don't know what else to have for lunch. I put unflavored Protein in it.

all you have to do is ((weight lost / previous weight) * 100) so 15/330*100= 4.5% but that 2nd calculator works just as well.

I feel almost the same way. Got my done about 9 days ago. I have stopped taking welbutrin cause I can't stand crushing them and no liquid form. I take my lexapro but only when cut in 1/4's. When I get a fill, I don't know if I will be able to do that. So my mood sucks even worse. I didn't know there would be stuff I couldn't eat anymore. Not that I have tried, but from what I have read, bread (so burgers, dogs etc.), fries, steak, chicken. I thought I would still be able to eat anything just in moderation. Now I am just scared to try and eat anything. Not that I can right now, but when the time comes. I am not myself. It hurts when I have gas and sometimes when drinking. I also might be moving soon and that means the insurance that paid for all this will be gone and I assume I will have to pay for my own fills etc., I can't afford that. I want to be "normal" again. My normal.

I did tell my Dr. yesterday cause I was having some pains under my left rib. He said it was good that I had the chilli and was able to keep it down.

why did you sabotage urself to get this procedure?

July 21st here as well. down about 17lbs. I had no idea about the gas pain. I still have some. But it was the worst of the worst. The next is the hunger pains.

honestly if we could all follow dr's directions we would never have been in this situation in the first place. why a candy bar? Cause like everything else that caused this situation, it is an addiction that isn't cured over night and to go w/o carbs or sweets in weeks and not being able to take all my meds is causing an overload and I am going crazy.

Just had my surgery on Tuesday. Things could be better, but I am getting along. Vomited a few times, had to have all Fluid removed from band already cause it hurt to swallow. I am constantly hungry. Can't wait for the initial 4 weeks to be up. Derek

I didn't know those other j&j bands where different sizes. One is called VG or something. Ya, i have been walking, not miles a day mind you, plus not getting in all my nutrition leaves me kinda weak too. I would like to know how many mm my opening is?

also have to remember that there are 2 different size bands, that I know of, regular and large. I have the regular. I wish I had the large at this point. Dr. said it is not as effective. So all these ppl that say they can eat anything, I would like to know what size band they have. Also with this damn gas, I have a hard time getting in all I need to to keep hydrated etc. I just get bloated and can't take anymore. I have lost almost 15lbs since Tuesday.

yes, my doctor had put 1cc in the band to start with which he had to remove. So does the hurtful gas go away? And the hurting when swallowing sometimes? Right now I feel as tho I just want to rip it out. I want to eat! Derek
