Hi, I had surgery on December 29th about a week and a half ago...I feel almost 100% now. I had a hernia repaired and really had a tough time the first 4 or 5 days. Hang in there each day gets a little better. I love Water with Cryastal Light (Peach Tea) and I also drank a good bit of Apple juice. Those helped a lot! Besf of Luck to you (all!)... Cindy

Day 4 post-op and Im in pain!

I was banded on the 29th. I also had a hernia repaired. It took a GOOD week to feel more like myself. I still have some tenderness on my right side. I had five holes, including my belly button. Hang in there - the worst is behind you - each day should get a little easier! -
How much post op pain is normal?

I was banded on Wednesday and have been in a good bit of pain, much more than I expected. I have terrible left shoulder pain, which I'm assuming is gas, I'm burping and all, but not much relief in my shoulder. I've walked as best I could and drank plenty of water...I'm so ready to feel better! -

I am 3 days post op, My doc has me on a clear liquid diet until next Wednesday, but I so want one of my protein drinks...did your doctor allow you all to have them at first? I've been more hungry today and I do not like jello or popsicles...I've been eating broth and drinking lots of water with Crystal Light and Apple Juice, but sure would like a Choclate Muscle Milk! Just Curious... -
I am two days post op and have terrible left shoulder pain and back pain. I've been burping and today was able to "poot" for lack of a better term! I have had two c-sections and honestly did not anticipate this surgery to be as painful, I had a diaphragmeatic herina repaired at the same time I was banded...it's been a rough couple of days...do you think the back pain is gas as well?

Hi, I completed all my pre-surgery requirements today, my doctor's office will be submitting my "file" for insurance approval tomorrow. I'm hoping for a surgery date by December 31st...(Insurance reasons). I am excited and looking forward to a new me in 2011!
