  1. hi newbie ! i am 5 weeks post op and when i had this feeling it is because i ate too much, too fast - even mushy foods can do this. when you drink, the feeling could be because you are drinking too soon after eating, or because you might be drinking too fast. this is just what i have found. i slowed down with eating - smaller fork fulls, eat slower etc and it worked for me. good luck and if it continues then call your nurse or doctor.
  2. hello, I have just joined this forum on the word of some bandster friends i have met through being banded. I had been looking into lapband since earlier this year, and i was banded October 28 - through the pre-op diet i lost almost 10 lbs and since the surgery i have lost just over 15 lbs. since i have been on solids i have been maintaining, but i am going for a fill next week. During the surgery, they filled me with 7cc's and it was too much and i couldnt not drink anything, so i had 2 cc's removed and now the swelling has gone down and i can use more. the picture on my profile is of my husband and i at our wedding may 2009 and i want to get back to that weight (or less) - my back went out and i was on bed rest and depressed so i managed to gain 75 lbs in 1 year. Weight has always been an issue in my family and with me, so i have fought weight loss since i was a child... now i have a grip like i have never had before... this Tool has already helped me with portions and confidence in myself that i have made the right choice... for my future family and being able to play and be active with them... the less weight, the better my back and knees will be and i am excited to loose the remainder 80-100 lbs. i am going to be healthier and happier and that is what gets me through my hard times ! So that is my story.. the short version.
