  1. I had my first fill on 12/16/10 and like you felt no pain or discomfort....but I feel no restrictions yet either...is this normal?!?!?!...So far I've been able to eat everything...white rice, beef; etc. I'm feeling a bit discouraged because I'm maintaining my 12# weight loss...However, even though my scale isn't saying much, I must be losing in inches because all of my clothes are hanging on me :-)
  2. What are you doing for exercise as well? Doesn't have to all out crazy but it helps if you can at least walk a few miles a day with the eating...I wasn't losing weight either once I introduced actually food but once I started walking 5-7 miles a day it helped me drop it fast. Also a digital food scale is key to make sur eyou are getting the right amounts of food...keep going! :-)

    Nov 2010 bandsters

I used to feel the same way about working out until I decided to go outside of the box and look for other types of work outs that not only keep me in shape but make me feel amazing....one of the things I've been doing for the past 4 1/2 years is pole dancing. It's an amazing exercise and the plus is i feel sexier and happier. It doesn't even feell ike I'm exercising since I'm having so much fun doing it. Another form of "exercise" I've been doing is taking dance lessons; ballroom, hip-hop, ballet...whatever the style. I say don't beat yourself too much yet...and hooray for catching yourself when you saw yourself going off teh deep end after a bit or two! You've only begun on this journey. For myself, being a NYer and living a fast paced lifstyle, I expect everything to have happened yesterday lol, the same with my weigh loss. I was banded on 11/21 and so far I've only lost 12 lbs. and now that I've slowly introduced more mushy/solid foods, I am teetering off, but that's ok since I haven't had a fill yet and once I do I know I'll feel more control. If you're interested in any of the workouts I've mentioned let me know! :-)
  4. Hey All!! I was banded on Nov. 21st :-) Feel amazing at the moment and since my post op appt. last Thrusday I've been given the OK to slowly introduce some regular food. Hope you all have a great week!

  7. Hello Hello :-) I was banded Nov 21st and feel amazing at the moment :-) Took the week off from work and got back this past Monday and it was starting yesterday I start food has been good, but since i can't stomach pureed meats, aside from tuna, I've been reduced to Protein shakes, cottage cheese, yogurt, silken tofu, pudding and Jello...but stillupbeat about the prospect of being healthier :-) Weighed myself on my home digital scale and am down 12 lbs. already, although can't see really tell since I'm still swollen from the surgery :-) Hope all of November banders are recovering well!!!
  8. Hi All, I had my lap band placed on 11/22 :-) Feeling like myself again already! Got a question though...my surgeon and nurses all told me to have a pureed Protein diet for the next 4-6 weeks...no mention of a strict liquid only diet...has anyone else been told this? Thanks!

    November Bandsters!

I was banded on 11/21 as well :-) I felt the worst coming home after staying in the hospital for a day but starting to feel like myself again today without any ab pain, yay :-) My Dr. said that chewable Gas-x was Ok to have if the gas in your system was building toomuch pressure so that helped me immensely! Hope you feel better soon!
