I was down below my goal on Thursday morning but after Thanksgiving and a wedding on Saturday night I gained some back. Managed to loose a little back on Sunday and Monday so Tuesday weigh in at 245.4, my goal was 245 so I am going to round down and say "GOAL ACCOMPLISHED". -

My first thought would be the "Christmas Challenge" but that isn't politically correct and may be offensive to persons of other religions, of which I am one. "The environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most joyous traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, but with respect for the religious persuasion of others who choose to practice their own religion as well as those who choose not to practice a religion at all Challenge" was way to long. So let's just go with "The Holiday Challenge". -

This is my first Thanksgiving with the band in place. Last year was on liver reduction diet. I just had a fill on Monday so I have quite a bit of resistance at the moment. Just hope that I can control myself and not over do it then feel bad for the rest of the afternoon. -

Oop's made a mistake it is a 10CM not a 15CM but still a great uke for the money. One other thing be sure what ever instrument you buy put good strings on it. Uke strings are relatively inexpensive $5 to $10 a set. Get some Aquilia's if you can find them or order them from Amazon. -

Ukulele's in a nutshell. You have 4 basic sizes of uke's saprano, concert, tenor, and baritone, small to large. The first 3 are tuned in C while the baritone is tuned like a guitar. For starter uke's after eliminating the toys run from about $35 on up. Mahalo U30G is one of the cheapest around $35 and it will work but if you have a little extra to spend I would go with a little better quality. Lanikai makes some of the best starter uke's the LU-11 and the LU-21 are both excellent choices the only difference between the two are the fretboard and nicer binding on the 21. The 11 goes for around $50 and the 21 about $65. Kala makes some nice starters. Their Makala line starts about $45 and the mahogany goes for around $70. These would both make excellent starters and last for quite a while before needing to upgrade. All of the prices are for soprano size and you can expect to pay about 10 to 20 dollars more for each size up from that. If you want one of the best values the Cordoba 15CM is a concert size uke made by Cordoba guitars in Portugal it is a solid top mahogany, all of the others are laminated, and comes with a gig bag for $99 at Sam Ash. -

Wow! For me to accomplish that many things in one weekend I would have to include things like getting out of bed and taking a shower. -

Hello Fellow Turkey Challengers. First let me apologize for being so late in getting the chart updated. Been a bus week. So the chart is up to date. You can view it view it by following this link The November Turkey Challenge. How was everyone's weekend? I stayed home this weekend, except for Sunday, went to church and to a house concert that evening to see The Small Potatoes. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. -

Wow 6 pounds Roz, Thats great! -
We now spend more in manpower and logistics to combat drugs than we do to create jobs and prosperity in America. Think about that for a second. Move through angry and sad and get to WTF.

Didn't really stay the same. I was down 1.5 pounds on Thursday before the wagon I was riding in crashed, so I essentially gained 3.5 pounds by Sunday morning then lost two pounds again by this morning. -

Hey gals and guys (if there are any guys), Sorry I didn't get the weigh in's posted over the weekend. I was going to do it on Friday but was way too hungover. Then spend the rest of the weekend playing music. I will try to get it updated before the weekend. -

I was a bad bad boy this weekend. Thursday night I decided to have a drink to celebrate my three day weekend and ended up drinking over a half bottle of Irish Whiskey, succeeded in annoying my wife to the point where she went to bed and left me snoring in my recliner. Saturday night I went to a birthday party and ate way to much junk. I need a fill so my meals are to big right now and didn't exercise at all last week. I was up 2 pounds on Sunday morning but managed to loose those by this morning. So no gain, no loss this week. With what I put in my body over the weekend I will accept that. -

I started my pre surgery diet last right before Halloween. Between then and my surgery date, January 20, I lost almost 30 lbs. I don't think I will be able to duplicate that feat, but I do think that I can continue to loose over the holidays this year. -

Good morning, Weighed in at 251 for a 1 pound loss, not much of a loss but I will take it. I need a fill and can't get in for another two weeks so hopefully I can still loose a little. -

I think most of us had the gas issues after the surgery, it does get a lot better but I still out fart anyone in my household. I did not have any nausea, although I guess it is quite common, my doctor did prescribe an anti nausea medication for me which I never took any of.
