HURT BY COWORKERS
deltadawn817 replied to JuliannaJ's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know but are you Sure your money is going to these things? sorta sounds a little fishy to me. Also if you didn't get anything maybe you will get flowers when you go back to work. I think I would stop participating in it just because obviously it is not equal and I wouldn't want to be a part of that. -
asking here because you all have had the sleeve done.
deltadawn817 replied to kayluc16's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
One thing I WISHED I had bad was a safety pin for my drain tube bubble. I had to wear my sweat jacket all the time to stuff it in my pocket. yoga pants, tops that are comfortable not tight, zip up jacket or sweater, easy on and off shoes, I went to Mexico so I brought tank tops and layered so if I got hot I could remove or add when cold. -
Fainting Spells and seeing spots
deltadawn817 replied to sarahzamudio1091's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hydration. I drank one 20 oz G2 a day for months after surgery. I think I have to start it back up. Also you could be hypoglycemic and that can cause the same issues. -
Did you keep your surgery a secret?
deltadawn817 replied to KanesMom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have told a hand full of people, Husband, oldest child 8, mother in law, step father in law, brother inlaw, sister in laws, I told my family mom, sisters, brother and My mother took upon herself to tell on of my aunts her sister and I had to have words with her. There are a few people in my family I didn't want to know and I just made it clear to the people on my husbands side that I shared with. -
I chose my surgery and went to mexico for it. My sister is now on the path and has insurance that will cover it. The Dr she is going to will only to lap bad if someone really wants it. HE does not recommend it anymore there are just way to many issues with it and he feels people don't succeed.

Did you need a passort? Yes anytime you travel to Mexico and Canada a passport is required it is the law. I didn't want to risk it. Others might. check out the rules for your self. http://www.dhs.gov/crossing-us-borders Land/Sea Travel Beginning June 1, 2009 U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry are required to have documents that comply with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI), most commonly a U.S. passport, a passport card, a trusted traveler card such as NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST, or an enhanced driver's license. See the complete list of WHTI-compliant documents.

5wks PO, and YES I regret
deltadawn817 replied to happydaisy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would start of with trying to get more fluids in you will feel better. Try G2, Also get a good chew able Iron to take it will help with energy. Once you are tackling these things focus of foods next. Time does make things better and I get really tight with stress so that it hard. Also try drinking something hot in the am to relax your new tiny tummy. It helps a lot. -
I just touched a place on my body ( this is not dirty) that i havent touched in a long time!LOL
deltadawn817 replied to fonally's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
yes but my collar bones were the best. I am sure they were sticking out for a while before I noticed them popping out. I knew they were in me but didn't remember what I looked like with them pronounced -

5 days postop band to sleeve and have a few questions...
deltadawn817 replied to roiansmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What vitamins are you taking? I had stretching and pulling till 3 weeks post op and my back hurt on and off. Not a constant pain just when I moved certain ways or sat for a long time with out moving. I could not keep my eyes open for the first week and half as soon as I sat down I was sleeping. (it was so odd for me as I am never like this) I have good days and bad days with fluids sometimes I am tight. I try to drink something hot/warm in the am to loosen me up sometimes I have to drink a warm drink mid day for this also, stress really effects me. -
looks great! Thanks for sharing pictures. Yours incision looks great.

Nothing but SLIME!
deltadawn817 replied to DUBrookie03's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would suggest smaller bites. THink baby spoon, or if you can't use a baby spoon take a bit and wait a full minute before having another bite. -
Major victory for me :)

That is so wonderful. A very inspiring story. Sometimes it is hard to learn to put ourselves first. -
Milk of Mag= terrible!
deltadawn817 replied to newgirltx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
MOM has worked wonders for me. I take it when I haven't had a bm in a week. I don't let it get that out of control as I know other problems it will start to cause. I also know that since surgery I drink one 20oz G2 a day and if I don't have it I don't feel right. -
teen years 145lbs 34 DD before surgery 42H 90 lbs down I am either a 40DDD because they are easier to find more like a 38 G

How long until after surgery can I walk my dog?
deltadawn817 replied to AdeptDreamer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I guess it would be on how good he is on the leash. Does he pull you or is he good? I would say if he pulls you it will be painful to walk him. If he is not good I would say 4 weeks. If he is good I would say you could walk him right away with no issues. -
I have a Mirena IUD Also and I didn't have a period after having one for a month long after insertion. I have had 3 since surgery in 3/2012
