my sister had a golds gym elliptical and it was the biggest piece of CRAP. She got hers at Walmart and didn't resell it it went to the dump. I got a pro form one and love it she replaced hers with a black friday sale one that was a very nigh end model on sale for like $400.

the first few days I didn't count or care I just wanted to stay hydrated and that is all they want too. I could start drinkable yogurt day 4 with my post op but that is not the case. YOUR DR will tell you want he wants you to have and what amount it is good to ask him/her how much you should have the first week.

Don't Judge Me (A Scenario)
deltadawn817 replied to mizzliz83's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
off topic a little I had major knee surgery in May 2011 and just had my one year apt with my orthopedic surgeon. He did come right out and asked me if I smoked marijuana and I was shocked he asked just on many levels. He wanted to inform me on how bad it is for your joint health and hard cartilage in your body and also a recent study done in great Britain that it cause lung cancer 30% more than cigarettes. -

Thought I Could Trust My Husband!
deltadawn817 replied to MGM's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
this is my experience as it sounds like we are married to the same man. I have been sleeve for 3 months and now I have to hear things like it really does work UGH WTF. Also since he is still making comments. OH and tells me how if I don't eat ____ that I will loose more..etc Things haven't changed at all I still want to rip his face off at times and something has to change I also find myself resenting him even more since he wasn't supportive when I was 50lbs heavier. I am sure we won't last but my kids are still young 7 and 2. -

Consitpation...please Help..
deltadawn817 replied to AnewME!'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told that I would have constipation and was told to drink diluted apple juice and that it would help if I drank it straight than it would cause other bathroom issues of too loose. I am sorry that you had to go through that. UGH Apple juice has always worked for me. -
Cheese Fat Free , Low Fat Or Regular?
deltadawn817 replied to Izzy0525's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tend to go for the full just because that is my choice and I don't like to eat a ton of processed with chemical foods. After I read the book "The Perfect 10 diet" it really changed my views on fat free and low fat foods. -
Feeling Like You Need To Burp Everytime You Eat
deltadawn817 replied to missygirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
burping is normal you might try to slow down eating or eat a little less and it will go away and for the other feeling I had it it always left I had a ice cube or something else stuck in my esophagus. It will go away. -
Psychological Issues
deltadawn817 replied to Sansa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Cleo some of the depression and other things that happen to some of us after surgery might also be hormonal as your hormones can go crazy. I have lost 50 lbs in 3 months and my hormones are all over the place. I cry at the drop of a hat at times. -
Psychological Issues
deltadawn817 replied to Sansa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a stress eater and I found myself standing in front of the fridge crying and yelling at my dh at about 8 weeks post op. All I could do was laugh (since I told him I want to eat because of you and hate you right now that shut him up really fast) at myself as I didn't realize how I much I was self mutilating with food. You learn real fast after surgery what your triggers were/are. I have had to learn how to deal with this differently and also how I process things. I have found myself not caring as mush anymore about other people drama and things like that. -
I Couldnt Get Sleeved Yesterday My Nightmare Continues
deltadawn817 replied to bubblesbgood's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know it is easier said than done but be happy that you have a great Dr that is doing the best for you. I hope that your New Dr was able to remove your band, and fix all that he could to help you get back to a newer normal. It is good to give your body the 3-6 months time to heal and re adjust as you would be very upset if you body was in shock from the loss of most its stomach and just swelled. Anything could of happened and our bodies can be fickle at times. When I had my sleeve done there was a lady whom had her band removed for 6 months before she could have sleeve as she had a infection in it from a USA fill center. She didn't want to wait but then 48 hours after she was sleeved she was glad she waited. As the Dr had told her that he could see what was done and what damage was caused and it was healed up well. -
They also have a flat bread if you want the bread.

Newbie! And I Have Some Questions :) Please Help!
deltadawn817 replied to Tekara3927's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had a major knee surgery when my dd was 17 months and thank god she just started walking I would sit down and have her come to me when she wanted to be help it was the only way I could do it. It works she is fine. She is now 2 1/2 and normal. You will find things to help you with you child after surgery stick with what works for you. I was very soar and tired for 3 weeks. I learned not to over do it if I was having a good day as I would pay big time the next day. Your skin will depend on your genetics I have had stretch marks since I hit puberty so I know I will need surgery. With my fist baby being 9 lbs I could have had it done after her. lol -

deltadawn817 replied to WillowsKnot's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am glad that you got to a Dr that was wanting to help you. I would be a little upset with my office too if they did that to me. Sounds like you are in better hands
