Hi guys, I have been mostly viewing this site and have joined a few moths ago. Have not done much talking. Now I am ready and need advice on my first fill. What iis it like and how much restriction do you really get out of it. I can basicly eat what I want now but I still feel some restriction. I have not lost what I expected thus far. It is 16 days and I have lost about 10 pounds. Is that good?

I get my first fill on the 18 and have some of the same questions you have. I hope someone can help answer them so I can see the results. I am starting to get hungry at times but I can control it. I still feel restiction from just the band but not as much as I expected.

Hey, it's nice to have met someone who had surgery the same time as me. I have been getting on my scale and I know I lost more. About 5 more but I wish it could be 10 more. As for having my first fill, I am looking forward to it. I still feel my restriction but I feel I can eat more than I did in the beginning. I have no problems eating solids. Everything has gone too well. What does that mean? Nice meeting you. Please keep in touch.

:biggrin1: Knowing you are over weight is one thing but when you start feeling the side affects that come along with it is another. That is how this all started for me. I had heard about some success stories as well as horror stories. I always would say that if my insurance would cover this surgery I would have it. Well, I looked into to it and what wonders. It does pay if medically necessary and obese. Now I am awaiting my consultation. I did my homework on the internet and attended a seminar. Consultation is on January 15. Cannot wait to get this done. Time cannot pass fast enough. I am all gunho over this. Now I am .

I want my life back. For years I did not have a weight problem. Therefore I know both sides of the scales. Obese and looking great. Sometimes I wonder how I got here. but thats water under the bridge. I could blame it on the good Cajun food I am raised on but that is not fare to myelf. It was just me...eating and enjoying life. Not paying attention to what I was doing. Now I have to apy the piper.
