Thanks everyone for your words of support and advice. I'm glad I came across this site as it is helpful and as much as my dad needs support, I'm glad I can come here and share my thoughts and feelings too. Thanks everyone and I'll continue to post questions and thoughts to hear what you think. just fyi, he had a terrible night last night and felt horrible, i could hear him all night and i cried and felt horrible because i didnt know what to do but be there and comfort him. But today he is doing better, walking a bit more and not as groggy, shaky or disoriented. Thanks for your encouragement!! Randy

hi all- I did not have lap bad, my dad did. i joined this site because i want to be a support for him. and i figured that this would be a great forum for me to seek support for him. today is post-op day 1 and i'm just really nervous. he's home now, the docs said that everything went well. but he's feeling a lot of pain, feels very dizzy, has nausea, feels very weak. he is very unstable on his feet. i know that this might be common, but it just makes me nervous to see him like this and i don't like to see it. any words of wisdom? when will he begin to feel 'better'? i just want my dad to feel better. thanks.
