I am so much older than you! I'm 46, and I have two little boys who are 5 and 8. You are so wise to do this at your age. My recovery was really fine. The first few weeks were rough, and I got a bad case of the flu, even though I got the vaccine. But gradually I got stronger, and I had no problems relating to the sleeve surgery at all. Best of all, I've lost 90 pounds in seven months! No regrets at all. I would be more than happy to answer any questions or offer any support. You will do great!

Yes, I am scheduled for 11/18. Finished the pre-ops, and I started pre-op diet on Monday. Getting nervous!

November Sleevers, let's buddy up
L2me replied to chicogirl3's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm waiting for insurance approval, but I am scheduled for November 18. I am excited and nervous at the same time. A few years ago I started the process of getting a band, but I lost so much weight in the months leading up to it that I canceled. Of course I eventually gained most of it back. That makes me very sure that this is something I need to do. Now I just want to get it over with!
