  3. Simmy, sorry to hear that you have been having problems... I have had problems too... but not as bad as yours. Mine has been my shoulder hurting. But if I had to do it again, I would try another lap band in your situation before thinking about going with out.... Would the people that put your first lap band in cover the coast of a new one since they placed it too high and is causing complications? I look at it that you have nothing to lose by having another one put in...(other than money). If the second one is giving you the same problems then I would look at other options of removing it. Does this help?

    Frustrated with weight loss

Ok, I am a little frustrated on my part. I has Lap Band Surgery June of 05. My starting weight was 347 lbs. In the first few months I was losing on a regular rate 1-2 lbs a week. Since around March of 06 until now I have stopped losing.... I am stuck at 264 lbs. I am happy that I have not gained any. However, I am getting frustrated with not losing more. I have only had 3 fills. As it is now I can not hardly keep things down except sweets. So I am a little hesitant in getting more fills. Any suggestions or ideas?

    Complications Arm/shoulder

I had my lap ban surgery in June 2005. Right out of surgery I woke up to a shooting pain in my left arm/shoulder area. At the time they said it must be a gas bubble from the surgury and it should work its way out in a couple of weeks. The pain was so bad that I could not stand. The only way to get relief was to lay down. This type of pain lasted for 4 weeks. I am still having pain to this day with my arm/shoulder area. Although it is not as strong as it was right out of surgery, it still causes me pain and disrupts my daily activities. I have been working with my primary care doctor to try and find out the reason. I have also gone back to the doctor who did the surgery. No one can figure out what is wrong... I would like to know if any one else has experienced this type of pain? I am at a loss as of what to do next to find out the real cause of my pain.
