just went a mile on my treadmill in 20 minutes. It may not sound like much to a lot of you, but it was hard for me, so shut up! Just kidding.

My dog is driving me nuts! She is doing some serious tactical planning. She wants the kids Valentine candy so badly.

Just finished reading the last "Hunger Games" book. I hated the whole series. If I never read it again, it would be too soon. I am not going to see the movie. psbbbbttt

Hey everyone! Sorry I don't check in very often. Starzz, I had a very easy time with my insurance. No problem getting approved. I had surgery on May 17, 2011 and have lost 60 pounds so far. I wish you all luck!

The garden is looking fantastic. Most everything is growing well. I planted dill and none has come up yet, but I am still hopeful. The cucumber plants are starting to get their true leaves. Some tomato plants have flowers and the beans look fantastic. My dad came over the weekend and put chicken wire around the entire garden to keep our furry friends out. They were eating my bell pepper plants.

I am back at home now from surgery. It went very smoothly, but I have hernias that have probably been there since I had my twins. My dr said it was no big deal and he would repair them in 4-6 months. The pain really has not been bas at all. I wih all of you luck and hope that your surgery goes as well as mine did. -

Tomorrow is the day!! I was a little nervous before, but I think I am ready for the change!! I have lost a little over 20 pounds on the liquid diet I think. My scale at home is not that accurate. Wish me luck!! -
OK, I am a little bit weirded out. I am normally not very superstitious. It’s Friday the 13th today and I went to the bank to make a deposit. I did not fill out a deposit slip, but had 3 checks that I gave the teller through the drive through. I did not notice until I got home what the total of the checks was.

Wow, and 6 hours later all the plants and seeds are in the ground. I will take some pictures for Linda Hunter Naab.

The garden is tilled!! Time for some fertilizer and then planting!!! I am super excited for yummy, fresh vegetables this summer!!

GARDEN, GARDEN, GARDEN...can you tell that I am super excited about planting my garden this weekend. I can't wait to make the first batch of pickles. Hopefully, I will have enough tomatoes for salsa this year. I just have to keep the deer and rabbits away.

I think this may be a crazy question, but here it goes. I love dill pickles. I buy them from the store, and in the summer I plant a garden and grow my own cuccumbers to pickle. I have heard that after surgery, fruit and vegetable skins are had to get down. Do you guys think I will be able to eat pickles? They are a lot softer once they are pickled. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts. Thanks, Michelle PS I am being banded May 17th. I start my liquid diet May 3rd.

Hey, thanks for the replys! I was hoping that I still got to eat them. My kids love them too. We made about 5 batches of pickles from our garden cuccumbers last summer, and I would like to do even more this summer. -
feels bad for people that don't read for entertainment. Books have played such a big part in my life.

My surgery has officially been scheduled for May 17th. I start my pre-op diet on May 3rd. I am very excited. Did any of you have a "last Meal"? My dietician told me that she didn't reccomend it because I will be getting food back, but I feel I want to have one last really good meal before I start the liquid diet. Thanks, Michelle -
You never really know how long it takes to get 6 kids into a mini van until you do it in the pouring rain.

I found out today that Evan has athsma. I just went and picked up his inhaler. I wish I would have had him tested a long time ago. He has always complained that his chest hurt and he had no air when playing sports. I guess I should have listened to him. I picked up his inhaler and we will start him on it tonight before his soccer practice. 2 puffs 15 minutes before activity.

is cleaning house and just now realizing that when the twins ran out of magnets for their art work on the fridge that the glued them on using glue sticks. They are problem solvers.

just spent hours repotting the tomato plants again. I also repotted the pepper plants for the first time. My garden better turn out great, or I may be fairly bitter.
