  1. I am having a really hard time seeing myself as skinny so to speak. I have always been a big person and remember starting my first diet when I was 10 or so. That means I have been dieting off and on for 24 years so I only know being big. The Dr wanted me to pick a goal weight and was really shocked when I told them 250 because they think I would still be overweight and they want me to go lower. My response was we will see when we get there and he agreed with me.
  2. It is possible that it is swelling for some reason but you may want to call who ever it is that does your fills because they may need to take the Fluid out if something is indeed stuck
  3. While I was not banded by that True Results I was done by the one in Austin and it was great. They seem to be very knowledgeable. I believe they even use the same surgeons to perform the operation. My band had 3cc's in it and is a 14 cc band. I just had my first fill as well and they put another 2 cc's in. Over all I am very happy with choosing True Results
  4. I had my first fill today. I have a total of 5cc's in the 14cc band. There was a total of 3 cc's when the band was put in place on November the 2nd. I also have lost 11 more lbs. I was so worried that I gained it all back because I have been hungry all the time for the last 2 weeks but now I can feel the restriction kinda like when I got out of surgery so I am looking forward to dropping more weight.
  5. The surgeon finally called in a script for antibiotics just to be safe and I am on them now so I am happy that it was not something really bad
  6. Well I have a bit of an issue. I got home about 30 min's ago (1am cst) and I was standing at my kitchen counter plugging my phone in to charge when I noticed that the front of my shirt was wet so I went to the laundry room to take it off and I noticed that there was this orangish Fluid pouring from my port incision. It was not bloody but instead it was like an if you have ever seen orville redenbacher popcorn oil ( http://beckasblog.iv...t/ButterOil.jpg ) it was that color and it just kept flowing. I went to the bathroom and to get some toilet tissue to try to stop it and it soaked through several wads of tissue but finally stopped. I am un sure of it is just fluid build up from my surgery on the 2nd of November or if there is a major issue. I have had no pain in my incision since about a day or two after the surgery nor have I had any infections but I have noticed I have had no restriction for several days so I am a little worried. My biggest fear is that I will have to go through the surgery again to have the band replaced because it was defective. I have posted a pic of the tissue to see if anyone can make some sense of this. I have also called True Results and left a voice mail to see if they can let me know what is going on as well. Thanks in advance for all your help
  7. This worried me so much I went to the emergency room last night and because I had not heard from the doctor. It was fluid build up and there was no sign of an infection. The dr in the er said he sees this from time to time and that more than likely what happened is when I stood up it opened the port incision a little because it is still healing and so the fluid escaped there because the skin was thin there.
  8. I was banded on November 2nd I have lost over 50lbs so far and after surgery I felt good but as the days went by I started to get pain in my lower back and it hurts a lot when I attempt to walk or stand up straight. When I am able to walk longer than 5 min's I sometimes get hit by pain in my lower back that feels like my back is slipping and when this happens it feels like I am going to hit the floor. I have read that it is because the weight that I had that is no longer there has caused my body to re adjust because the support that the weight provided is not there. If this is the case how long can I expect to have this pain ? Also has anyone had this happen to them? I have also heard that it could be from lack of Protein and I wonder if I increase the amount of protein I eat if that will help? I know I am supposed to be walking every day but with this pain I can't walk longer than 10 min tops without having to sit down. Any help would be great
  9. I have had no fever at all and in fact I have felt great. What leads me to believe that it is not an infection is that I have not had a fever and there is no oder to the fluid at all. When I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago I remember having some infected wound drainage that had a foul oder and a fever as well. The drainage from that would completely different but again that was from a different part of the body (kinda) but I am waiting for the surgeon to call me back or some one so lets hope it is not a big deal.
  10. Thanks for that. I just want to lose weight and feel good lol
  11. I am 22 days post op and I to have little to no restriction. I can eat just about anything. My first fill is on Dec 14th so I am not sure I can make it until then lol. My nurse said that it was normal to feel hungry because out of the 14cc band there may be only 2-5'cc in it. She also said feeling hungry is a sign that the swelling in my stomach is almost gone which is a good thing. Truthfully I am trying my best to stick to the mushy diet as long as I can but it is just not working for me because it is taking so much to fill me up. I have cheated and had a few things but I was very up front about it when I went for my post op checkup and I got yelled at mind you lol I am just looking forward to when I can eat 1/2 cup of food and be full Oh yeah my band is 14cc's
  12. I had to wait 24 hours but after that I was good atleast that is what my Dr said and no scrubbing the surgery area for a week
  13. Oh the first shower was wonderful even if I did not stay in it that long it was still great.
  14. I know the feeling. I had to do 2 weeks of the shakes pre op and I passed out 5 times so the Dr changed me to one low carb meal a day and that helped a lot. My problem now is now that I am post op I think I may have goofed up. I had a piece of beef fajitas a really small piece and I chewed it until it was mush and I think it irritated my stomach so I am going back to full liquids and mushy stuff until I start feeling better. I know nothing is blocked and I can drink liquids just find I just dont want to screw anything up. I would also not worry about the weight loss. Once you have your fill and they find your sweet spot you will lose weight.
  15. I was banded Nov 2nd. Everything with the surgery went just fine and I was in very little pain in fact I was off of pain meds the second day after surgery. The only real issue I had was about three days post op I let myself get dehydrated because I was just not thirsty but I quickly corrected that. The only other issue I have is that I started out with a lot of restriction and it was really hard for me to drink anything but now 14 days in I have very little restriction which is really strange because I can eat some things and they stay with me for hour and I can eat other things and they pass right through me. I will admit that I should be on mushy stuff but I have sneaked and had a small piece of bbq chicken(as in smaller than a dime in size) and it seems to have went down and I have tested a few other solid foods with no issues but I have not really pushed anything. I go to my post op follow up so the DR can see how I have been doing and I will be honest with him about the things I have ate and I am hoping to get cleared for solid foods lol and I also cant wait for my first fill so I can really start losing the weight. I started my journey at 601lbs and I plan on ending my journey at 250lbs but that was not my goal. My goal is to be able to ride roller coasters with the person I love.
