Good luck on teh 25th Edie-the surgery is not bad at all-do all they tell you to. Get up and walk right away-helps with blood clots and pneumonia-good luck...

Wow-35 llbs-way to go!!! I have been eating lots of protein- -trying to limit carbohydrates, I feel best with protein. :hungry: I am 4 weeks out and I can pretty much eat anything-not much restriction. I have my first fill on Jan. 25th -6 weeks out. I have lost 16 lbs thus far. Keep talking with us...

I was banded 12/12/06 -doing well -no fill yet. First one is 1/25/06-could use some local support-anyone out there?

Hi- Bless you- I work at a school and everyone thinks I went out for hernia surgery-I just felt it was no ones biz. Just coming through the holidays not having my days be filled with food-feels weird. My family is my support system. I was banded 12/12/06 and I had lost 11 lbs on my post op. The roughest time was that first week on liquids-going to puree foods-IT GETS Better!!! Hang in there girl and keep writiing-we are here!

Hi I too take the flintstone vites-i daily chewable. But I also go B-12(sublingual) from Trader Joes-really gives me energy. Then I have a protein shake that contains lots of vites. It sure gives me energy-because for some reason coffee tastes awful to me! I used to be a huge coffe person-now the smell makes me sick! Cheers! -
Severe Port Site Pain

Hi -I was banded on 12/12/06 and I am healing very well-but I too have port pain. It seems to come and go and tylenol helps numb it. I have been walking a lot and thought I pulled it wrong. I think this is a tender spot as there is a lot of healing deep down below the facsia. If it continues I would contact your doctor, Blessings, Monica -

God Bless with that fast weight loss!!! If you dr. is monitoring you-GREAT! Just remember to take supplements and exercise as it is hard to lose fast and have hanging skin. Keep is all posted-can you give us an idea of your daily menus?

All the way from Tasmania! How nice of you to reply-I am doing well since my 12/12 surgery. On my post-op I lost 11 lbs-have my first fill on Jan. 25. Still not sure about portions and I am still on thick fluids. I am looking forward to learning lots on this site. Blessings from San Diego!! Monica
