This was the first year I ever dressed up and felt so good! I can imagine how you feel because although I lost 60lbs, I thought I wouldn't find anything and then I lucked out. I tryed plus sizes and they were just tobig and nothing I liked and the reg sizes ran small, so I just settled for the reg large and squeezed my but in it and it worked out perfect. Hope you get it to work out for you. By the way I am planning to dress up every year, it was so much fun.

How much weight should I expect to lose a week
Louisianagirl replied to Beverly1010's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
1-2 lbs a week. I lose about 1 lb a week. This is a life long thing, if you are a slow looser give it time it will come off. -
Tubal Ligation after banded
Louisianagirl replied to Louisianagirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I forgot to mention, I had a horriable pregnacy. I had a emergency c-section at 31 weeks, I wouldn't want to think about going through that again. I do have a miracle baby! -

Tubal Ligation after banded

Thanks Chickie for your opinion. My husband and I have been together for since I am 16, I think to if we wanted more we would have had them by now, my husband didn't want the first one but he loves her dearly. He always said he didn't want another one. I thought I would but the older I get I don't want anymore. I have friends that have 3 and 4 kids and I don't know how they do it, between a sitter and school work, I just don't know. I am lucky I have a sister-in-law that can't have kids and she helps me out when I am at work. I am glad to know I am not the only one in that boat. Thanks!!!
-

Nicolerose don't be nervous, you are not making a mistake, think of it as restarting your life. You will do great. If I everhave to do this again I would. I wouldn't even think twice. Good luck to you.

Hi Cuteypie, how did your surgery go?
-
I was a self-pay ($12,900). I have no regrets what so ever. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I want to make the next support group meeting in Houma. Does anyone know when it is?

I am from Raceland,La. and I would recommend anyone to Southern Surgical Center. I think all the Doctors are great and Chris the NP. That is the nicest Doctors office I have ever been to. You feel really welcome there.

Hi I am from Raceland, Good Luck on your journey. Do you go to any support groups? I want to start going to the one in Houma. I had my surgery with Dr. French in NO, but heard you are welcome at the one in Houma.

Well its nice to meet you cblair6271. When are you having surgery?
-
I agree with you!!!!

Try taking baby bites every so often, like when you are washing clothes or doing dishes. I have to do that sometimes to get my band to open up a little.
-
Where were you banded, was it Mexico? If not I don't think you have anything to worry about.
-
Hi to everyone. Are any of you from Louisiana?
-
How often do you PB?
Louisianagirl replied to lins12's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I do a couple times a week. -
My Godmother has had diabetis since she is a child and she just had the gastric, she is doing great and the doctors seem to think she will get off of insulin soon. she wanted the lapband but her body rejects certain objects so thats why she went with the Gastric. She hardly takes any insulin now.

I thought I would loose mine but they are still here, just a little saggy...if you know what I mean. More like skin in a bag...lol

My dad was against me having it but I just turned my head and went ahead with it. He doesn't tell me nothing about it but I know he can tell I look and feel better. He proberly regrets telling me I shouldn't do it but he would never say it to me. Don't worry what they think it is your life. People that never had a weight problem don't know what its like. I wish I would have done this 5 years ago.

If you have to pay for it, it is well worth it. If Iever have to get a new one I sure will. It has been one of the greatest things I have done for myself. THink of all the other little things you waste money on and also you will save on food. I would pay for it in a heart beat. Believe me I am not rich but I found a way to pay for it.
