Tomorrow is 7 weeks since surgery. I had my first fill on March 1, 2007. I am going back for my 2nd one March 15. I have lost 2.5 lbs since the first fill. I don't guess thats too bad for 2 weeks.

I had bad shoulder pain and it could take days-weeks to all come out. Mine lasted nearly 2 weeks.

Is she eating enough protein?

I am stuck on 23lbs lost this week, I don't know what the problem is. I am eating a little less since I got my fill but don't know whats going on. I just can't get off of 219.

I am just wondering how many people need or have had tummy tucks after being banded? I want to know if I need to start saving my $$$.

I really don't miss eating the way I use too. I feel so much better the way I eat now. It feels so good to leave the table comfortable.

I have a bad habit of gulping water down but it does not do me anything. Maybe after a few fills it might. I am really doing well, never had a problem yet. I find I eat about the same amount of food since the fill but I stay full longer.

How are you doing with your fills? I think I will need my second one soon.

I had mu surgery 1/23/07. I had my first fill March 1st. I find I am eating about the same before the fill. I am going back March 29th for my second. I don't have any problems eating anything. When you say you can not eat bread, what kind and how are you eating it? I buy the whole wheat buns andI just eat the top part with chicken salad are turkey breast. I can't eat the 2 pieces together. I am find with pasta, I just try and chew everything really well.

I quit smoking 1 week pre-op and when Madi Gras came around I started back. I went about 4 weeks without. I will focus on quiting next year after most of the weight is gone.

My doctor too said that but it was because the first six months they want you to focus on losing most of your weight. As long as I am losing I will do it 1-2 times a month.lol

I just realized today, I think a lot of what we think is hunger, is really gas or food and beverage passing through because right after I ate lunch my stomach was rumbling. I heard this somewhere too but didn't really believe untill it happen to me right after I ate. I guess its something we will have to deal with and remember to ask our self is it really hunger.

I waited to have wine 4 weeks after surgery. I was bad and could not just have one, I had a few. lol I guess one glass should not hurt. I have a few drinks about 1-2 times a month. I have not drank since my first fill, I will proberly get tipsy on one glass. Just take it easy.

I think that is pretty normal, I ate things I wasn't supose to 3 days after like meat. I chewed really well and took tiny bites, I didn't have a problem at all. Your weight loss looks good. I just got my first fill Thusday and let me tell you, it was time. I thought for sure I was going to gain but I loss like 6lbs from my 1 week post-op appointment. The Dr. told me that I was doing great. My mom lost 7lbs, we had surgery the same day. Don't get discouraged, you are doing fine. When will you get your 1st fill?

I felt the same as you. I guess if it does not last that long , we will get it taken out and another one put in. I will be 28 this month.

I priced a tummy tuck @ a local Doctor, they start @ $10,000. I will shop around when I am ready for one. Did anyone price around?

I don't know anyone who had it at Oschners but I had mine at Southern Surgical in Slidell, it was very nice and clean. A friend of mind had hers at Omega Hospital, I heard it was realy nice. Good Luck to you!

Its nice to meet you, I am from Raceland, La. Do you go to any of the lapband meetings? Where were you banded at? I was banded with Dr. French at Southern Surgical.

I would love to have one just to eliminate some stretch marks from being pregnent. Its good to know insurance would pay for it, for those reasons. I guess I will see in a year what I look like but, having all these stretch marks I know it will not look good. I am just looking forward to looking good in clothes right now.
