    Nightly Heart Burn?

I think your Dr should be checking to see if the band is too tight. If it is, and is left that way for too long, it could cause a slip.
  2. I was banded Dec 2010. I suffered a slip while I was travelling abroad and had to rush home. In had the slip repaired and have gone through the fill process again. While I'm not thrilled this happened, it was a learning experience for me. There's a reason for the rules, they're not there to make our banded life difficult, they're there to help ensure we lose weight and protect the integrity of our bands. No trouble since...nut then again, I'm following the rules much more closely.

    Alcohol

Yes before and yes after. However, right now I'm focussed on getting my last 8 lbs off so I'm having a month alcohol free. I love my red wine ... Mmmmmm.... Lap band doesn't mean you have to stop enjoying yourself, just in smaller amounts

    Did I Mess Up Already?

It could take up to 2 weeks for the effects of a fill to present itself. I do 1 day liquids, 1 day mushies, then back to my firm proteins and veggies. Share you eating and how much?

    I Want To Eat Cereal!!!

As long as you are cleared for solids, give it a go...remember to chew. It's this type of food that catches me...the kind that is already small and I sometimes forget to chew...also, have it with yogurt, Greek is best, or don't put slot of milk in it because it can then be a slider food.

You Say The Band Didn't Work

I too love my band! It hasn't been all laughs and giggles though. I did have a slip and had to have a second surgery. There was a lot of discomfort when it slipped, but it was short lived. There have been more ups than downs for me...I'm so close to a "normal healthy weight - 24 bmi" and I love how great I feel. I can run around with my kids and I have just a ton of energy. I regret nothing, slip and all it's THE best tools I've ever had for my weightloss journey.
  13. 4 weeks between fills should have you at a good place for your next one. "they" say it takes around 2 weeks for a fill to show itself. For some, it's more immediate than that...for me...it takes a good couple of weeks to really know how the fill is going to work for me.
  14. I'm a nut...I weigh myself several times a day but I only record the first weight of the day, done at the same time, after first am void, naked, before I hop in the shower. I look at the trend week on week.
  15. Most of us have one time or another. What you need to do now is forgive yourself, learn the lesson and move on. YOU CAN DO THIS!
  16. I think Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz said it best "there's no place like home, there's no place like home"

Once you meet him face to face you and your husband will make your decision quickly. Do let me know ho it goes. He's such a kind compassionate man
  18. You sound like you might be too tight and would do well with a slight unfill...from what you wrote, you sound definitely in the red zone

Do I Need A Lap Band Fill?

I agree with th others. For many the band doesn't restrict the volume of food. It sounds like it is working as planned and you're losing weight...all very good'
  20. I've heard of this one. Basically it seems that people get to their green zone quicker. Hope it works well for you too
  21. I ate anything that I could wiz with my immersion blender. It could have been stew, retried beans hummus, lasagna, spaghetti roast beff dinner with potatoes and gravy...as long as I whizzed it and added a wee be of broth to loosen it up a bit..it was a good time!
  22. I'm thinking I like it...still a ton of ads but overall...I think I'm going to like it better.
  23. When in doubt, track what you eat and put it into MyFitnessPal or Livestrong's Daily Plate. See what your calories add up to and your macro nutrients. Track your exercise and make sure that you're actually eating enough to support the exercise you're doing. Drink lots of Water and be sure to take your vitamins...the water is super important to flush your kidneys and liver and rev up your metabolism.

    I refuse!!

I'm with state of frozen. Try to get some that are fitted, not too tight that you can wardrobe...and wear them to death. I try to get things on sale and I also try to pick up nice but inexpensive pieces at Walmart or Target...I know, not the best places, but I travel around the world for business and no one has ever noticed
  25. Depends on what your protocol is. If it's Clear Liquids you need, then you can try Syntrax Protein shakes...Fuzzy Peach or Roadside Lemonade are my favourites. You can also try Isopure which has 40g of protein per bottle...though 4 days after surgery it would probably take you all day to get through the 20 ounces. Water...always a good option and weak herbal teas. An Crystal Light...and that's about all I can think of for now.
