Glad you are doing so well. i was banded 12/8 wed and i feel bad. i cant believe that people are doing this surgery same day. My port sight hurts and i cannt seem to get into any postion that is comfortable. Unfortunately we are in the middle of a major snow storm so unable to get out. I also cant tell when i am full. i have major gas pressure up above but no problems with gas down below. Everyday does seem to be getting better just taking longer then i thought it would.

I am at 10am tomorrow.

Well tomorrow is the day...I am not as nervous as a thought i would be. I probably will be tomorrow.Just watching the VH1 music for the troops and Anne Wilson from Heart was there singing. The very first meeting i had about the lap band they showed a program with her in it and she had the lap band like 5 yrs ago...well lets jast say it must not be working for her anymore because she looks like she gained all of her weight back plus more...that makes me a little discouraged. Good to hear that everyone is doing so well after their surgeries. I am so excited and nervous about this surgery. I am so glad to hear how well people are feeling, i will make sure to ask for some anti nausea meds after surgery. Only on my 2nd day for preop diet and have been feeling nauseous most of the night. i will be banded on dec 8 so only 6 more days.

Mine is scheduled on dec 8 and have been on the preop diet for 2 days. It is very hard and i have been nauseous half of the day today thinking about the broth or whatever liquid i have to drink. But just keep thinking of the end result.

First day of pre op diet. have not cheated but have been somewhat hungry thru out the day. just looking towards the future for surgery on dec 8. i do have my christmas party for work on saturday and i know they are having mashed potatoes as part of the meal so that is what i am going to eat. that will be my one cheat day i think. good luck everyone.

Just started my 1 week of liquid diet today...wow this is hard. but i am determined. i have my surgery also on dec 8. cant wait the journey has started.

You guys are great. i have not told to many people that i am have WLS. but i have those few nosy people at work, who will not leave me alone. i only told my manager that i needed surgery and would be gone a couple of weeks but she kept bugging me so i told her i was have gall bladder to get her and they other nosy people off my back. This is my decision and im doing it for me not them and they need to but out. My husband and my best friend are the only ones that now and that is fine with me. i have tried so many other things this is just another tool to help in that struggle to loss weight and it has a high rate of success. ali

I am being banded on12/8 also and dont start my liquid diet until 12/1. and i must say i am not looking forward to it after some of the posts. Also i will have to be working that 1 day of the diet....man this is going to suck. thanksfor all the info. ali

I will be staring my preop diet on Wed 12/1 and i am nervous about it. i dont want to be hungry for a whole week before the surgery. I do not need to loose any wait before surgery ecxept during the preop diet so that the liver shrinks and gives them more room to get to the stomach. My drs only other orders are that you can not gain over 5 pounds from what you originally weighed at when your journey started. as they have had people going on binges and gaining 40 pounds right before surgery. Hang in there hopefully it gets better. Ali

So Excited for all of you being banded this week. I got my approval over a week ago and and my surgery will be on Dec 8. I start my preop diet on wed Dec 1. I am excited but nervous for this journey. I do have a question for those of you already on the preop diet. Do you find it hard to keep yourself satified or are you hungry? thanks and Good Luck to all those getting there surgeries this week!!
