Hi guys...home from getting my first fill. It wasn't too bad. It hurt only a little but felt really weird, really the first time I noticed the port and band. I got 4cc's in my 10cc band. They said I probably wouldn't have any real restriction yet, but we'll see. I hope I get a little at least. I had some victories today. The first one was that I just knew I had gained weight but I hadn't gained any at all and had even lost a pound!!! Also, I forgot my blood pressure medicine today but my blood pressure was good, wondering if the 34 pounds is already having an effect on it. Another success, I went to Catherines and was actually able to fit in a pair of jeans (not the elastic kind either). I haven't been in a pair of jeans in I don't know how long!!! So all in all I had a GREAT DAY! I was also relieved to find out that if I don't have restriction by thursday they will see me again on tuesday for another fill!!

I often think we trade our food addiction for another addiction, alcohol, sex, exercise (I wish). Mine is this forum and the yahoo groups I frequent so much I can't get any work done...Avilla's is getting on the scale! Don't let some piece of metal and plastic determine how Your day is going to go! I go to get my first fill today...wish me luck, I report back later how it was!

Avilla, 1/2 pound could be the clothes you were wearing, water weight, breakfast, period gain, too much hairspray:) There are so many things it could be that I just wouldn't worry about it. And waiting 3 days? PUT THAT SCALE AWAY GIRL! I was thinking about buying a scale but I would probably step on it every day...maybe I won't buy one.

I went to the "edit profile" page. It made me giggle, the part that said "if your date of birth has changed please notify the administrator" Do many people's dates of birth change? -
Hey Sarge!! I PM'd all the MIA's and told them we missed them and hope they will come back! Have a great day ya'll

Hey Wheetsin... I live in a small town, no mall, no indoor track. I would like to join the gym to use the treadmill but still broke from x-mas. I have been doing some indoor exercise... but I don't count toward my mileage goals. I think I will just keep trying...if I average 1 mile a day I'm there! My reward for myself is going to be a new pair of Croc's, my fave shoe, but the kind without the holes! If I meet my goal, that is! -
Okay... did my STREAKING and boy it was WAY harder than I thought! I am huffing and puffing like a freight train and my throat feels like I just smoked a whole pack of cigs in 10 minute!! I am SO out of breath! That was quite a work out even if it was only 5 minutes. I had to pull myself up with the rails on #4 and #5. Okay...enough bitchin' I got it done!! yea!

I am so proud of you Turner24, way to go!! So far, signed up for STREAKING are: Josette Turner24 Okiefamily Yay!!

I think you can choose your own form of activity to keep track of for the streak...I am doing the stairs (1 flight) at work and walking in place at home, but you should choose what is best for you! Lets just say we are "streaking"!!
-
Ibrahem...liquids for 2 weeks? What a bummer! Thanks for telling us about your fill though! NN32--I have the same problem when I try to go to the chat rooms!

Good Morning Ya'll!!! Have a great day! I think it is going to be above freezing today!!! I am going to go for a long walk! I have a goal of walking 25 miles in January. I was doing good and right on track with 9 miles until this ice storm hit. Do you think I should lower my target or try to make it still? -
Good Morning Everybody!! Cassandra! Join us girl, you are more than welcome! Your not late...you are just in time. Sarge! I really like the sparkstart article. I think a streak challenge would be fun. Anyone want to join me? I think mine will be go up and down the stairs 5 times (when at work) and walk in place for 10 minutes when at home. If anyone else wants to do it... we will keep tabs on how long the streak goes. I had a good eating day yesterday and lord knows I needed it...I plan to do the same today! B- shake, L- leftover porkchop (maybe) or cheese and olives, D-don't know yet! Any suggestions?
-
Hey Guys!! if I don't screw it up...I have to report I had a good eating day. I really needed it because I have blown it recently. Here is what I ate: shake for b, 2 oz cheese, 3 oz turkey and lettuce in little rolls for l, 4 oz pork chop and 1/3 c chili Beans for dinner, 1/4 cup raw pecans for a snack, I am gonna have a pickle before bed and try to get in the rest of my Water. about 1100-1200 calories is so much better than the 2000+ I ate yesterday. Still no exercise but I worked 2 jobs today, so no time. Question for everybody, how long do you wait after meals to drink? And do you wait after Snacks too?

Amen wheetsin!! One of my favorite fat moments...I have to tell you guys. I have always wanted to go to (cant think of the name at the moment) the big swedish store with the cool furniture and gismos and gadgets..Oh Ikea, it just came to me. Well, they opened one up about 2 hours away where my friend lives so me, her, her hubby and 3 kids and my hubby all go there, I am so excited. About 30 minutes into the vistit I have to pee, really bad. We had to walk 15 miles to the bathroom their store is so big. By the time I got there, I had to go so bad I couldn't wait for the one handicapped stall to be available. So, I dashed into one of the regular sized stalls. It was so cramped and the toilet paper dispenser practically hung out over the toilet on the right and on the left was the little metal trash can. I wedged myself between them but couldn't center myself on the pot, I was off center. I thought it was okay and the pee was coming wether or not I wanted it to by now. Well it wasnt okay, somehow... because I wasn't properly situated the pee came out the crack between the seat and stool... AND I PISSED ALL OVER MY PANTS and a HUGE puddle in the floor. And because it was so small it started pouring into the other stall. I was so mortified. I spent an hour in the stall trying to clean it up and dry my pant a little but they were just too wet. So what did I do? I lied to everyone and said someone peed in the floor and I put my pants in it...Oooh Gross, and went back to their house and washed my pants. I didn't get to see any of Ikea :scared: -
Way to go Teresita!!! Avilla- I haven't been "on the wagon" these last 4 or 5 days either. So lets gut up out of the dirt and dust our selves off together. Here is my hand... lets go! I am going to have a good day today. How about you?

I am hearing form all over the net that protein and water are of utmost importance for losing weight... I see you got the water in... but what about protein? From the looks of your list there isn't even close. I think we need from 65-78 (my dr says 78 for my weight).
